This was an absolutely incredible tour. Our driver was fantastic, with lots of info and facts along the way. Our guides at the coffee/cacao farm were friendly and knowledgeable. Our guide at the sloth excursion was also phenomenal, she spotted so many animals and we saw 3 sloths and a toucan, among many other amazing creatures. Lunch was great, and we had an incredible day. Everything was taken care of for us, we just got to hop in the van and enjoy ourselves.

We traveled with our 4 kids ages 8-12, my 73 year old mother in law, my husband and myself. It was amazing! Carlos picked us up at the airport and took us to lunch then our resort. He arranged a snorkel tour, a fishing trip, then took us on 2 full day excursions! We saw so much wildlife in the water and on land, we experienced the rainforest, learned all about coffee and cocoa, it was amazing. Very hand on, interactive for the kids, but so many new fun things to try! The day we zip lined it started raining and I was nervous about my phone, so Carlos just said I’ll hold it then proceeded to capture all of our day including the actual zip line rides on my phone. It was amazing!! He taught us so much about the country, had lots of grace for car sick kiddos, and was available to help us with anything we needed while there! We left the trip wishing we had a Carlos in every country we want to visit! 10/10 he is who you need for your custom trip to Costa Rica!

Carlos picked us up promptly at our hotel in Papagayo. He drove us safely with lively conversation to our first destination, a small coffee and coca “farm” where we got at see the transformation process and try both coffee and hot cocoa with sugar cane. We then went to the sloth sanctuary and were able to see sloths and much more wildlife. This was our first time seeing sloths which was a very memorable experience. Thanks to Carlos and Angelica we were able to see frogs, snakes, howler monkeys, and toucans. Many of which we probably would have overlooked if not for their guidance. We then went to a local spot for a lunch of beans and rice with salad, plantains and proteins of our choice. Very tasty and filling. The fresh pineapple juice was especially good. Our last stop was to a waterfall on the way back to our hotel. It’s a short hike down a hillside to the large waterfall spot. Walk back up will get your heart pumping a bit, but nothing too difficult. Overall the trip with Carlos was excellent and I would highly recommend it to folks looking for a nice overview of the natural areas around Liberia. Oh a Carlos is a fantastic photographer too!

This was my first time in Costa Rica and the experience was UNFORGETTABLE!!! The views , the excursions I was not expecting to be so much fun. Everything I did I would have never thought I would do in life. Zip lining from mountains , mud baths , being on the boat in middle of the ocean , swimming in the ocean , ATV riding so much so much and I couldn’t have had the time I did without Our guide Carlos he is truly heaven sent and IS THE BEST EVER !!! He knew the people they were very pleasing and always made sure me and my group was ok. Arrived on time to pick us up daily made sure we made to and from safely. He is definitely the #1 guide.

Exceptional experience! We were able to see a tiny baby sloth about 2 feet away from us! In addition, Carlos with BlueSky, asked Angelica, who worked for the eco park, to give us a private tour. She was able to help us locate eyelash pit viper snakes and poisonous red dart frogs!

My husband and I booked a tour with Carlos and it was the best decision we made during our getaway trip to Costa Rica. We wanted one day in the rainforest to see wildlife and hike and it did not disappoint. First, Carlos picked us up at the resort (W Costa Rica) right on time with a nice large van with AC. Next he stopped on the way to our first destination to get us empanadas and fresh juice from a local vendor which were amazing. We went to two waterfalls - first one was a quick walk and we were able to go swimming in the waterfall. Very fun and Carlos was our photographer helping take pictures while we were swimming. We also went to Rio Celeste which is a MUST. Big hike and pretty rigorous but worth it. The waterfall is something out of Lord of the Rings - you don't know that beauty of color exists outside of a movie. On the walk Carlos pointed out animals, shared information about the area, the park, etc. We even stopped for lunch at one of the vendors at Rio Celeste and he helped order for us. We also went to a sloth encounter which was incredible. We saw three sloths (one baby one up close I could have touched it!!), poisonous frogs, snakes, fish and a natural spring. He didn't guide the tour but clearly had a good relationship with the company that did and he helped point things out, educate us and take pictures. He was very informative of all the animals, history, vegetation, etc. Would highly highly recommend. It is a full day but if you want to get into the rainforest and off a resort this is a no-brainer. Carlos was great to have a conversation with, really friendly and we even had a connection where he visited my place of work when he was in the states. I told him on his next visit to message me so we could stay in touch! Only word to the wise - bring dramamine if you're prone to car sickness. The tours go into the rainforest and most roads aren't paved and are windy. But that is unavoidable any tour you go on.
