Our wine tasting takes place in a historic 1906 wine cellar overlooking Lake Bled—an intimate, atmospheric setting you won’t find anywhere else nearby. Led by Danijel Galjot, a skilled sommelier and storyteller, each tasting is more than sipping wine—it’s a journey through Slovenia’s diverse terroirs, rare grapes, and deep traditions.

What makes us unique is our focus on Slovenian wines only—including many indigenous varieties rarely found elsewhere. Whether you’re new to wine or a collector, our tastings are designed to educate, surprise, and inspire with food pairings, WSET-based techniques, and stories from local winemakers.

Small group sizes ensure a relaxed, engaging vibe—and with over 200 Slovenian wines in our cellar, every visit is different. It’s not just a tasting—it’s a cultural deep dive into the world of Slovenian wine, right above one of Europe’s most iconic lakes.

Perched above Lake Bled, this intimate tasting is led by expert sommelier Danijel Galjot and features a handpicked selection of premium Slovenian wines. Choose between two tasting options: Morning Tasting (Thursdays at 12:00) – Explore 3 native grape varieties like Rebula, Pinela, and Zelen, paired with local bites. Afternoon Tasting (Fridays & Saturdays at 16:00) – Enjoy 5 top wines from Slovenia’s most acclaimed regions, with expert insights, food pairings, and WSET-based techniques. Private tastings available daily on request (min. 4 guests). Whether you're a beginner or a wine enthusiast, this experience is designed to educate, surprise, and delight. The wine tasting experience was an amazing time in a beautiful location. What really made it special was Danijel - who was extremely knowledgeable and personable. It was a conversation and we really got a feel for Slovenia’s rich wine tradition, regions and culture. We have done wine tours and tastings in the United States but never had we had such good technical information relayed in such an organic way. I don’t think we will ever drink wine the same way and we have Danijel to thank for that. It was an incredible experience and if you are in the area it would be well worth it to talk wine with Danijel and enjoy the views and delicious food and drink along the way. Every wine was a star and it was hard to pick just one favorite.

The Sommelier leading the tasting was very knowledgeable and we not only learned about Slovenian wine, but the culture as well. The pours were generous and served with a variety of delicious cheeses and bread. We tasted one rose, two whites and two reds. A very nice start to the evening in a cozy wine cellar.

Really enjoyed this and learned a lot. Nice variety of elegant Slovenian wines (1 sparkling, 1 white, 1 orange, 2 red). Cheese pairing was nice but would have liked a bit of meat and bread, too. Beautiful old cellar.

This was Me and my parnters first wine taking experience and what an experience! Our host was so friendly and funny and his wine knowledge was outstanding. It was one of the highlights of our holiday and we now think we're wine experts and drink wine in a completely different way. Highly recommend.

The excellent, knowledgeable commentary; the varied selection of wines; the convivial atmosphere; and the thoughtful regional cheese accompaniments. The cellar gave great ambience but the necessary steps down to it could be a problem to anyone with a mobility issue.
