Hop on a cruise to Shell Key Island and see dolphins and other wildlife while snorkeling. At this pristine wildlife preserve, you'll get to snorkel and observe the wildlife, go for a relaxing swim, or just walk along the beach and collect shells. Depending on the time of year, you'll see dolphins in their natural habitat, along with manatees, rays, and wild birds.
All of our rides are semi-private, with a maximum of 6 passengers per boat, so you get to avoid the crowds when you ride with us.

What To Expect
Island Ferry's Dolphin-Snorkeling Cruise takes you snorkeling by boat to Shell Key, and to see dolphins at the same time! See dolphins in their natural habitat, along with manatees, rays, and wild birds. Go snorkeling and shelling on Shell Key Preserve, where you'll find hermit crabs, conchs, rays, horseshoe crabs, and more. Island Ferry is not a drop-off service, but rather the boat stays at Shell Key with you for the entire time. You can take a break from snorkeling and shelling, and sit on our shaded boats with a cold drink. And while you and your family are in the water, the Island Ferry crew stands watch on lifeguard duty. So we keep everyone safe! We provide the snorkel gear and the floating noodles.

5.00Beautiful adventure. We were on a small boat. The water was calm and there was a gentle breeze. Dave was an excellent skipper. He was a knowledgeable guide and we quietly drifted with dolphins bobbing up and down around us. The stroll on the beach was wonderful- we were the only people on that part of the beach. The sand is white and soft, the water warm. Thank you for the lovely, peaceful trip.

5.00Captain Noel was great. Informative and entertaining as well as accommodating for our small group; letting us what we wanted to do with our allotted time. He followed one dolphin around which was very up close and personal which was awesome. Lisa horseshoe crab and went to the beach and did some shelling. We could have snorkeled but the water was so cold none of us wanted to. Would highly recommend! Especially since it's just 2 hours actually it goes really really quick.

5.00Super fun and the tour guide Dave was awesome! We got to see dolphins swimming by the boat and then found a bunch of shells on the beach when we stopped. The scenery was beautiful and we were taught a lot of things. It was overall a great experience and I 10/10 recommend!
