Incredible experience, through and through. We had a group of 7 (including myself and my mother) in our small van. We were 3 Americans, 2 Irish, 2 Brazilians, and by the end of the day we learned so much about one another and had some great conversations over delicious wine. Our guide and driver Giovanni obviously cared greatly about Brunello and the history of the region. We visited 3 amazing wineries, all very different. The first was a beautiful, mid-sized vineyard with a lovely family where we had a tasting in their own home. The second was another beautiful vineyard with a wonderfully renovated tasting room where we were also prepared a tasty lunch. The third was a much smaller but again, beautiful, vineyard. All of the tastings had snacks (or lunch) so you did not go hungry whatsoever. Wine was plentiful. The drive (although a bit nausea-inducing on the way back down) was one of the highlights - you get to see so much of the rolling countryside that you can’t get from a coach bus tour (which we also did one of these in Chianti from Florence, and the view and experience with this small group was admittedly far superior). Worth every penny!

This was a fantastic day that we really enjoyed!! We learned a ton about the history of the region and how it’s been tied to wine making. Our guide Paulo was so nice, knowledgeable, and a joy to have as a host and driver throughout the day! Cannot thank him enough for a very memorable experience on our trip!! For sure book this trip if you can, as you will not regret it!

A very pleasurable day. Wine tastings were well chosen to reflect several different types of wineries and their respective vintages. Lunch was wonderful and the wines well matched. A few extra stops for site-seeing were also welcomed. In each case our guide was outstanding. She provided us with insights as to our varied experiences and made the trip a real pleasure.

Oh boy, where do I start? This has to be one of the best tours my wife and I have ever been on. We love Brunello wine and were really eager to tour the region of Montalcino and sample the wines at a few different vineyards. The tour was about eight hours long starting from our meeting point in Siena. We had five others on the tour with us and we fit comfortably in the van driven by our host and guide, Francesco (Kekko). Francesco grew up in the area around Montalcino and was very knowledgeable regarding the area's past, it's unique geography, and about the wine-making process itself. His English was awesome and he seemed to be able to talk non-stop, but in a good way! We visited three very different wineries and had excellent presentations by the local hosts. We also made a couple of other interesting stops including one at the walled, hilltop city of Montalcino and another at an medieval Abbey that was on the way to one of the wineries. We sampled a nice variety of wines and enjoyed the company of the other guests. The whole day really flew by. Francesco was an excellent driver, even on the many gravel roads and twisting highways, and the whole trip was very comfortable. Francesco's personal stories and his explanations of some of the cultural rituals were fun to hear. We would definitely recommend this tour and Francesco as a tour guide!

Our tour with Andrea was one of the highlights of our Italy trip. She shared so much helpful, additional information while we were driving— both about wine and the region more generally. The three vineyards selected were likely not ones we would have found on our own, and we enjoyed all of them so much. It was also wonderful that we were able to experience a small vineyard, medium-sized vineyard and one that was still medium-sized, but focused more on exports. We would gladly book another tour based on our experience!
