Burford
The day begins by departing London and travelling towards the quintessentially English countryside of The Cotswolds; an area that is famous for its beautiful landscape, charming villages and honey-coloured stone cottages. Our first stop will be the traditional town of Burford; known as the ‘Gateway to the Cotswolds’. This is a historic place where many houses date back nearly 600 years and little has changed for centuries. During the visit there will be time to explore Burford, visit the magnificent church and stroll along the high street to visit a mix of independent family-run shops.
Bibury
The village of Bibury is often described as the 'prettiest village in England'. It's charming scene is a snapshot of traditional English country life. Wander along the gentle river and see the iconic Arlington Row; a set of weavers cottages that are now one of the symbols of the Cotswolds.

We had never been to the Cotswolds and Ash, our driver and guide did a fantastic job driving us in the rain and detailing all of the different places we stopped. I liked being able to run free in the different towns, of course the time goes by quickly… could have used more but we will be back another time to see more and stay longer. Also plenty of food options, bathroom breaks, beautiful old buildings , shopping and nature. The bus was comfy and we got the lowdown before we got to each stop, so that we could maximize our time once we got there.

Ash, driver and guide, was awesome. Shared lots of history and current details about towns visited. Very open to questions about UK life, great photographer, great coffee suggestions! Just enough time in each stop and no worries of a busy drive and parking challenges. Highly recommend as a day trip to get out of the city and see some beautiful country!

This was a fantastic tour! It gives you a great opportunity to experience a bit of the Cotswalds if you don’t have much time to visit. Ash was the guide on our tour, and he was fantastic! He was very knowledgeable about every spot we visited, and gave lots of tips/recommendations throughout the tour, both for the Cotswalds and for London as well. He made an effort to get to know everyone on the tour by name and have intentional conversations with all of us. I highly recommend this tour!

Three friends from the States on a girls’ trip to London and we decided we wanted to see the Cotswolds. “Fun Len” was our fabulous driver and guide, and he gave us a fantastic tour! Lots of great info, fun stories, and tons of laughs. The particular friend writing this has a real aversion to buses of all kinds, yet the ride there and back was comfortable and enjoyable. I’m tempted to book another day just to go back!

This guided trip was a total winner. I'm so glad we chose this option from the one's available to us. First off, Tony was an amazing tour guide. He filled the time getting from London to the Cotswolds by telling us fun stories and history about the places we were passing through, as well as about the Cotswolds He was also a confidence inspiring driver. Tony made himself available at all our stops to give individual advice on things like where to eat for the best experience. GoTours UK chose a wonderful selection of villages for us to visit, and the time spent in each was just right. If you have just one day to get a good sampling of what the Cotswolds have to offer, it's hard to think how you could do better than what we experienced on our tour with GoTours UK. We'll definitely book with them again the next time we're in England.
