Burford
The day begins by departing London and travelling towards the quintessentially English countryside of The Cotswolds; an area that is famous for its beautiful landscape, charming villages and honey-coloured stone cottages. Our first stop will be the traditional town of Burford; known as the ‘Gateway to the Cotswolds’. This is a historic place where many houses date back nearly 600 years and little has changed for centuries. During the visit there will be time to explore Burford, visit the magnificent church and stroll along the high street to visit a mix of independent family-run shops.
Bibury
The village of Bibury is often described as the 'prettiest village in England'. It's charming scene is a snapshot of traditional English country life. Wander along the gentle river and see the iconic Arlington Row; a set of weavers cottages that are now one of the symbols of the Cotswolds.

Outstanding in every way. Clare, our driver/guide was 5 stars out of 5. She shared history and insights to the Cotswolds. This is a must do if you visit England.

My sister and I took the day trip to the Cotswolds on a Wednesday in March. The weather was a bit chilly but nice. Our guide Christian was terrific. He was informative and told us stories along the way with a bit of witty humor. He gave us information on the village once we arrived on where to shop, eat, and where the restrooms were. He was an excellent driver as well. It was a great experience all around and I would definitely recommend this tour. Ask if you can be on Christian's bus! You wont be disappointed

To put it mildly, it is not worth spending 10 hours of your time. A couple of villages in the Cotswolds, the green fields are nice, but definitely not worth the 2 hour drive to and from it, not to mention the price you pay for it. Our driver/guide really tried and gave himself in the best way, but this is definitely not something to recommend!

Had an amazing day out. Our tour guide Christian was very witty and knowledgeable about London and Cotswold. He shared the history behind many places and kept us entertained with stories. It's a very well organised tour and was pleased to see how clean the bus was. It was my first trip to Cotswolds and I found it to be very beautiful and peaceful. Loved walking around and we were given plenty of opportunities to explore all the areas at our own pace. Shopping and food were amazing too, lots of different things to choose from. Will definitely be looking to book more tours in the future.

Wonderful tour of 4 Cotswolds villages. Len, our guide, was very informative, funny, upbeat and kind. He drove us on back roads, allowing us to see more of the beautiful countryside. Highly recommend!

I would definitely recommend the Cotswold's day tour from London. Not only was it as beautiful as we imagined it would be, but our guide, Rob, made it both entertaining and interesting! The process in terms of starting and finishing the tour was seamless and easy!

The trip with four stops at different locations with some time to explore on your own at each stop. Maybe not enough time to put down roots at any place, but enough to take in some vistas, feel the vibe of the countryside, take a photo or two and get an appetite for a longer stay. Our driver/guide/history teacher, James, and his ever-entertaining sidekick Barbara, had it all nailed down. They've even made driving on a highway a fun experience.

What a great way, in a limited amount of time, to experience so much of the Cotswolds. We had know idea the four villages we visited would be so different. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the oldest pub in England, The Porch, to have a pint!!

My wife and I brought our daughter on this tour, and we all really loved it. It was cold and rainy, but that was to be expected for England in February. Having a small bus made all of the difference. Ash, the tour guide, was really great. Very gregarious and fun to talk with, he was very engaging and provided really great information for each of the stops. Ash was very attentive. He not only told us where to get the best pictures, but he was often there to take the picture for us. His play list was spot on - it was like he somehow got the play list from my wife or my phones. This tour involved a lot of time driving between the stops, and Ash made the ride fun. He answered questions, engaged in friendly conversation, and provided a wealth of jokes and stories about the sites we were seeing. The stops in each of the villages were long enough to walk around, see the village, take some pictures, and get a quick snack, a cup of tea/coffee, or lunch. It is not a guided tour -- you walk on your own. But, Ash gave us enough information and each village was small enough, that we didn't really need a guide. And, as noted, Ash was around and available if you needed more info. The villages were really beautiful. It was like stepping back to a simpler time, when life moved more liesurely. The architecture was magical. Everything was so green. Even with the cold rain, it was still a beautiful place to walk around. Between the time of year we went, and the fact that we were on a small bus (actually, more of a large van), there weren't any real crowds, and this really enhanced the experience. You felt like you were just walking around a quaint town, rather than having to push your way through a over-crowded tourist trap. The tour cost a bit over $100 US per person, but it was really worth it. Keep in mind, you are on a small, comfortable van, so it feels much more personal. Ash had to spend an entire day driving us from London, then village to village, and back to London, so the tour company has to spend a lot on fuel and tolls. Plus, you get to walk around 4 of the villages, all without any real crowds. And, as noted, Ash was a really great guide -- the kind of person you would enjoy just meeting at the pub and spending a few hours taklking and drinking with. Overall, this was a great experience, and we will definitely book more tours with GoTours when we return to England. Hopefully, Ash will be the guide.
