Food Tour Budapest
Experience Budapest and it's rich and vibrant culinary tradition full of unique food and drinks. Alongside a small group of enthusiasts, this exciting walking tour will provide a taste of what the Hungarian people like to eat and drink such as sausages, salamis, traditional cheeses, soup and traditional pastries. Visit and discover local bars, restaurants, markets, cafes and a cookie manufacturer along the way. The private guide will provide a unique insight, as well as an introduction about the history of Hungarian cuisine, from a local perspective of someone passionate about gastronomy and all other aspects of the tour.

She was very engaging and attentive to our needs and wanted to make the tour as memorable as possible. Highly recommended!

5.00My wife and I have taken food tours all over the world, and this one with Food Tour Budapest easily ranks among our top three favorites of all time. Our guide, Nóra, led us on an incredible five-hour walking tour filled with unforgettable flavors and stories. She took us to places we never would have found on our own, introducing us to authentic Hungarian food and drink every step of the way. Along the route, we sampled Unicum and Pálinka, fresh bread with lard, onion, and paprika, a mushroom cream grilled sandwich, a wide variety of salami, several excellent wines, traditional goulash soup, chestnut cake, and so much more. Nóra’s English was excellent, and her knowledge of Hungarian cuisine and food culture was outstanding. She didn’t just feed us—she gave us a true introduction to the Budapest food scene and helped us understand why these foods matter. We absolutely loved this food tour and would recommend it without hesitation. A++

5.00My husband and I had the very best time trying all the Hungarian foods that our guide introduced us to!! We enjoyed Everything, but enjoyed our guides knowledge and ease of understanding even more--she was SO beyond sweet and gave us a piece of Hungary that we wouldn't have seen or tasted otherwise!! We HIGHLY recommend this tour--you will leave fuller than full and have a lot of food history and fun along the way!! Just Wonderful!!

5.00What an incredible day in Budapest! We got to step back in time and experience what a wine bar of the past would have been like—such a unique atmosphere. I loved learning about Hungarian people and the history behind where their food traditions came from. We sampled several authentic dishes and desserts, and every bite was better than the last. The whole experience gave me such a deeper appreciation for the culture, and exploring the city afterwards made it even more memorable. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Budapest!
