What To Expect
Pristina
We shall depart from Tirana and traverse the northern reaches of Albania, whereupon we shall cross the boundary into Kosovo. This relatively recent highway connecting the two countries has become a symbol of strengthening their connection and unity. The scenery will alter from the metropolitan Tirana to more rural and former mining towns. Situated around 260 Kilometers away from Tirana lies the capital and largest city of Kosovo: Pristina. Habited since the Old Stone Age, from the ancient Vinča culture, it is one of the most riveting archaeological and historical sites.
Situated in the heart of Pristina, the grand Library brims with over two million copies of materials, some dating as far back as the 15th century. Its architecture is a prime example of Yugoslavian Brutalism and is a masterful synthesis of Byzantine, Ottoman, and Serbian design, making it a veritable microcosm of the city. Since 1982, the Library has served as the National Library of Kosovo and continues to offer a majestic glimpse into its past.

Disappointing. Elvis had certainly left the building on this trip! Our tour guide Elvis lacked enthusiasm and knowledge.

2.00Unfortunately the tour guide seemed like he didn’t really want to be there. It all felt quite rushed and very light on information. It was a long way to go for not that much to see. If I had my time again I would probably just visit the one place and miss out Pristina (a very underwhelming city). To top it all off, our bus broke down at the airport and we ended up getting our own taxi back to our hotel! Whist this wasn’t the tour operators fault, it just added to the frustration of the whole tour. Sorry, just giving my honest opinion 😢

1.00The guide seemed very discouraged. He barely spoke and interacted. He stopped the car at some point and said "a half hour" and end. The tour car broke down on the way to Tirana near the airport. I was with very bad internet, so I couldn't order a taxi. I know I was pro mechanic along with the tour team. At no time sent another car to replace or thought of calling a vehicle to finish the service. I literally had to wait for the goodwill of someone to fix the car, how long it would take and etc... I have traveled the whole world and this was the first time that no other team was called to finish the service. We were already in the capital, it would not be so difficult.. finally

5.00The activity went according to plan. Our guide Giulio was very helpful and knowledgeable. We learned a lot about the history of the places and also about current matters. We had enough time to explore in Prizren which was very welcome and the guided tour of Pristina was very informative. If you want to see Kosovo, this is a great way. Transportation was also comfortable and felt safe. Thanks Giulio for a great day!

5.00This is an excellent tour. Our tour guide is very knowledgeable and in depth with the history of the places we visited. I learned a lot from him. Also, he is very professional and respectful. Time management is excellent; he was able to pick up us on time and drop off near our hotel early. The car that we use has a lot of space making our travel comfortable.
