These small-group, guided kayak tours last 2 hours and allow you to see these magnificent animals up-close in their natural environment. Little or no experience is necessary to use Chesapean’s sit-on-top kayaks to explore the coastal waters of Virginia Beach and get closer to wild dolphins than you have ever been before. Guides will help you launch and navigate along the coast while you partake in breathtaking scenery and unforgettable experiences with wild Bottlenose Dolphins.

If you want to get on the water on a beautiful day and see lots of dolphins in their natural habitat, then sign up for this experience! The kids and adults loved it! We took double kayaks, so each adult was with one child and the kids could rest when they wanted.

Matt, our tour guide, was very friendly and accommodating. He made sure we knew the basics before we started. We were very lucky to see a good number of dolphins as soon as we started out. Matt shared interesting facts about dolphins and the history of the Chesapeake Bay and marine life that live there. He took photos of what we saw and then of each of us by our kayak on the beach and shared with us so we’d have documentation of the amazing experience we had just had. Highly recommend this tour and Matt!

Our guide was very patient with our group that consisted of varying kayak abilities. We had a wonderful experience being among the dolphins and even saw some Bald Eagles. We didn't expect our guide to be such a wealth of information; but he really did go above and beyond for our group.

Matt (the guide) made it enjoyable for all in attendance. From the novice kayaker to the experienced kayaker. He was patient and kind. He was very knowledgeable of the marine life and kept close contact on all participants. You can tell he loves his job and loves sharing all of his experience. This is the closest encounter we have ever had with the dolphins. Great experience with a great guide definitely would recommend it.

This was an incredible experience, far more than what I was expecting. We saw several different pods of dolphins, both in the distance and close up. Our guide was fantastic with helping us in the kayaks and getting us to the right places to be as close to the dolphins as possible, and was very knowledgeable about them. I'd love to do it again!

AMAZING! Was hoping to see maybe a dolphin or two, saw more like 100. More time slots than any other business in the area as well. Tommy was a great guide and made sure we all had the best experience ever. 6/5 stars if I could.
