Duration: the hours of duration are approximate 10 hours. The Tour is subject to local traffic, visit schedules, etc
You can be picked up from a private address other than hotels in Porto & Vila Nova de Gaia downtown area/city center only (Matosinhos Cities are outside pick-up limits)
Our pick-ups happen between 8am & 8:45am (the time window for all client pick-ups), so we advise to always aim to be ready at 8am in advance.
Wineries or order of wineries visited may differ depending on their availability.
Visits at the wineries and river cruises are not fully private and open to external participants.

5.00This experience was interesting, fun and good value for the cost. Marianna was a great guide who wove information about the Douro Valley and Porto into the day. An excellent lunch at a small wine estate was a wonderful component.

5.00We a ha d a wonderful time with the tour. After having done several tours in Italy and France, this by far was the best one. To top it off, our guide- Nuno, was extremely knowledgeable.Him being a History teacher was a cherry on the top. He gave us a lesson in whole backstory of Douro Valley. If you are coming to Porto and planning to a tour of Douro Valley this tour is way to and hopefully your guide is Nuno Oliveira.

5.00FANTASTIC experience! Even though our Douro River was not available, Bernardo made sure to entertain us with his knowledge and witty comebacks. Fabulous tour of the Quinta de Santa Julia - what an AMAZING vineyard (500 yrs in the family - QUALITY over QUANTITY) Mariana was our “somelier” and her knowledge is incredible!!! Welcome to their newest colleague as well!!! This family GEM is truly the best experience I have ever enjoyed at a winery. But…unparalleled is the follow up with Quinta dos Castel Ares!! Another amazing experience!!! But who drove it home????? Bernardo was simply fantastic! Thank you! We will be back!!!

5.00We had a great tour with Luis M. We were very lucky to have only 5 guests in our group (including us). So it felt very private. He was a great driver, and even paid extra attention to the one who was susceptible to motion sickness. We were the only guests at the two vineyards we visited, living up to the small group experience (though he did say that the van hold 8 and they can have 2 vans traveling together. In high season that probably happens a lot and I would be disappointed if my group was 16 people. ) Our lunch was wonderful - even accommodating the non-meat eaters. We are not wine drinkers, but we learned so much and the area was beautiful. We are so glad we took the trip!

From start to finish, he was the perfect mix of funny, knowledgeable, and genuinely personable. Bernardo’s passion for the region and its wine culture was contagious. He shared fascinating history about the Douro Valley and the vineyards in a way that felt engaging and natural — never scripted. He answered every question thoughtfully and kept us laughing throughout the day. The vineyard visits were stunning, the wine tastings were exceptional, and everything was beautifully organized. We felt completely taken care of and able to just relax and enjoy the experience. If you’re considering a Douro Valley tour, book with Bernardo — he was easily one of the highlights of our trip!

5.00Luis M. did an absolutely amazing job showing us the sights of Porto and the Douro Valley on our day trip. From the moment we started, he was engaging, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the history and culture of the region. We visited some fantastic wineries with excellent wine selections, and the lunch was just as impressive. He struck the perfect balance between being educational and making the experience fun. You can tell he truly knows his stuff, but he delivers it in a way that keeps everyone entertained and involved. If you’re visiting Porto or planning a Douro Valley wine tour, I highly recommend Luis M. He made the entire experience unforgettable. Simply put — Luis M. is the man!

5.00Best tour ever !!! Luis our guide and driver was excellent, The tour gave us a wonderful insight into the wine district of the Douro Valley. We had delightful visits to wineries , not to mention a super traditional lunch.
