Thingvellir National Park
We’ll take you first to Thingvellir National Park, where you will see the astonishing spectacle of continental plates tearing apart. Here you can stand with one foot in America and the other in Europe, on either side of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge. Thingvellir is a place of great historical and cultural significance for Icelanders. It’s where its first parliament met for a thousand years, as chieftains would gather to make laws, dispense justice and settle disputes. Some were even executed in the “drowning pool”!
Geysir
The next stop on your Golden Circle tour is Geysir, the highlight of the Haukadalur geothermal area. Bubbling with “hot spring” activity, this is the place that gave geysers all over the world their name. The “Great Geysir” has fallen silent now, but another spouting spring called Strokkur is just a few meters away. Strokkur is an “old faithful”, erupting every few minutes, sending fountains of superheated water high into the air. You’ll smell the sulfur in the air, and you’ll sense the phenomenal power of nature boiling under the surface of the Earth!

Such a good tour! Good communication and very well organised, we had a great day. Managed to see so much, but we never felt rushed or if we were missing out on anything. We finished our trip with a visit to the Sky Lagoon - a perfect way to end the day! Would definitely recommend.

We had a great day. Our guide, Dominique was fantastic. She had superb knowledge, great respect for all passengers, their individual needs and especially for the phenomenal landscape, history and features. The Sky Lagoon at the end was a perfect way to end the day. Thank you

My family and two teenage daughters visited Iceland in the middle of winter weather (in early April) but had a great time! Gulli was both our guide and driver and he picked us up in a small bus that held 20 people or so. He gave us the history of what we were seeing outside and shared many fun facts of Iceland. He was a wealth of knowledge and super cool! He had a great music playlist on the bus in between his talking! He drove a bit fast at times in my opinion, but because of that he was able to squeeze in some extra stops at a dairy and allowed us to buy fresh ice cream (get the blueberry one which he also recommended) as well as an informal look at Fridheimar tomato farm and property where some Icelandic horses were. :) The only suggestions I have is 1. for Nice Travel to invest in better crampons for one of the hikes. Some of the metal spikes were missing on them and there weren’t enough for everybody on the bus to wear. 2. More explanation as to the Blue lagoon process was needed because it was a bit unclear. (even in the Blue Lagoon itself, there were no signs and staff wasn’t organized well to handle new arrivals or answer questions.)
