What To Expect
Pingvellir National Park
We’ll take you first to Thingvellir National Park, where you will see the astonishing spectacle of continental plates tearing apart. Here you can stand with one foot in America and the other in Europe, on either side of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge. Thingvellir is a place of great historical and cultural significance for Icelanders. It’s where its first parliament met for a thousand years, as chieftains would gather to make laws, dispense justice and settle disputes. Some were even executed in the “drowning pool”!
Geysir
The next stop on your Golden Circle tour is Geysir, the highlight of the Haukadalur geothermal area. Bubbling with “hot spring” activity, this is the place that gave geysers all over the world their name. The “Great Geysir” has fallen silent now, but another spouting spring called Strokkur is just a few meters away. Strokkur is an “old faithful”, erupting every few minutes, sending fountains of superheated water high into the air. You’ll smell the sulfur in the air, and you’ll sense the phenomenal power of nature boiling under the surface of the Earth!

5.00As we were staying in Iceland for only a short visit, we wanted to maximise how much we could see in our time there. This day tour was amazing, we had so much fun, saw so many things and even bought some of the bread they traditionally cook underground near the hot springs with geothermal energy. We had Mika as our tour guide and he was excellent- very knowledgeable, friendly and fun! The day trip ended at the Sky Lagoon which was breathtaking to be there after sunset and so nice to warm up and relax in the water. Such a cool experience with their 7-step ritual including a sauna and ice-cold plunge. It was by far our favourite day in Iceland and we’d highly recommend this tour!

5.00This was the last trip on our honeymoon and we really enjoyed it. Beautiful weather and an amazing guide, Mika, who went out of his way to make the trip amazing. And so much to see from waterfalls to the tectonic plates, geysers and walking round the rim of a volcano- fortunately not one of the active ones😊

5.00Really great tour with a nice guide. Comfortable mini bus with a well packed itinerary to make the most of the day around the golden circle. Lunch stop was at the Geysir centre which has a wide choice of lovely food for respectable prices. As a solo traveller I wouldn't rush to do the Sky Lagoon again. It was a nice experience but not worthy of the price given the volume of people - perhaps nicer as a couple.

5.00We booked this trip in advance of our visit to Iceland and am so glad we did. The day is filled with great places to visit and help you create memories, the driver was so friendly and had so much knowledge and stories that shared with our group. Gullfoss waterfall will forever live in our memory as will seeing the geysir geyser blow and Kerid with its water filled crater completely iced over. We weren't sure what to expect from sky lagoon but have to say it was fantastic and was tge perfect ending to the day. You must complete the 7 step ritual but be prepared for the cold plunge pool, it will take your breath away literally. The warm waters of the lagoon were so relaxing, we all wished we'd let the coach driver go and just stayed until closing.

5.00Driver was very informed and gave very good information as we drove. Sites were interesting and enjoyable. Only drawback was that it was very cold and windy. (Coldest day I spent in Iceland)
