Our guide will come to your hotel in the Old Quarter to pick you up. A short briefing before we start.
Old Quarter
On a 3 hours walking tour, you’ll explore the culture and history of Hanoi as you step into a world full of street food vendors. Unlike big cities all around the world, street food in Hanoi are not just hot dog carts and pretzel stands, we offer an opportunity to try out many different dishes at local food stand as well as local family restaurants. A rotating menu from day-to-day to represent the variety of delicious options, but tastings might include, but are subject to change: rice noodle soup with beef, rice noodle with chicken, rice noodle with grilled pork, snail, or dry noodle, sticky rice, along with various kinds of donut, steamed pancake or Vietnamese sandwiches.

5.00Perfect Tour, small Group, Bob was an excellent guide. He knew the Oldtown very well and ve visited different local restaurants. Wonderful food, Bob told us historical stories about this exciting city. It was a wonderful evening ending in famous train-street. Thank you for this experience!!! We will come back

5.00The food tour with James was a such good expérience! We were only 3 in the group ans James took the time to show us where we can find the traditional meals of Vietnam and Hanoi in small restaurants where I will not went by myself. I will definetely recommend it.

5.00I did a good tour with Mai and she definitely made the tour worth it. She had great communication, was very knowledgeable and helpful, and the food was great. I brought my toddler and she made sure that my toddler had a separate bowl, etc.

5.00Peter was punctual, friendly and a fountain of knowledge. Great communication skills. His passion in his city and food really shines through in his explanations. He’s enthusiastic and up beat. He brought us to 7 of some of his favourite places to eat (he was planning for 8, but we were so so stuffed towards the end, we requested to skip 1 - so you will be well fed by the end of the tour). We sampled really great food, and what I feel Hanoi has the best to offer. I would most certainly recommend this food tour with Peter. It takes the stress out of researching & navigating. Peter would give a lot of info on each of the dishes, including origin, why it was named such, how to correctly eat like the locals etc.

5.00Kenny was a wonderful guide. He was very easy-going and good natured and took us to 6 great small local cafes and street food vendors around the old town. He was also very accommodating for dietary requirements, providing excellent gluten free alternatives for my partner. He was very easy to communicate with, sending texts before and after the tour with recommendedations.

5.00Bob was the perfect guide- friendly, knowledgeable and caring. Having only eaten sub standard Vietnamese food in foreign countries, we were blown away by the quality and range of dishes we tried. A special highlight was visiting Bob’s own family restaurant. I would not hesitate to recommend this tour.
