It was a small english speaking group and Nick the local guide was a master of local knowledge. He helped me out the following week also with a restaurant recommendation.

We had the most wonderful experience exploring Hanoi’s food scene with Mai as our guide. Mai guided us through Old Quarter, taking us on an epic food journey until our belly’s were bursting! Mai took us into local’s homes who welcomed us and explored sites we would have never noticed - the smallest house in Hanoi, only a meter wide! This tour was a highlight of our time in Hanoi. Thank you Mai, for making this experience so special ❤️

Bob was a great host who took us to four restaurants around the Old Quarter. He spoke excellent English and was able to share his experiences with the group. He was able to accommodate my gluten allergy from celiac by coordinating with the kitchen staff. After we ate or last meal, he took us for egg coffee. Overall 4 hours and was memorable.

This tour far exceeded my expectations. Our tour guide Bob did an excellent job blending the history of the city itself with the background of the food and the culture of the Vietnamese people. Bob, born and raised in the french quarter is a true expert. Not only that but his family owns and operates a restaurant in the city so he practices what he preaches. 10/10 would recommend to a friend!

Bob was my food guide. He did a wonderful job and I highly recommend him. His English was excellent and was able to communicate lots of information about the food and Vietnamese culture/history in general. I was pleased that our group was small (only 5 of us) and Bob made sure we were all happy with the food choices. Overall, it was a fun and interesting (and tasty!) few hours.

If I could give it more stars I would. Nick was a pleasant young man. Took us on a delicious adventure of Vietnamese cuisine. Everything we ate was soooo good and the variety of food and drinks was incredible.
