Our guide will come to your hotel in the Old Quarter to pick you up. A short briefing before we start.
Old Quarter
On a 3 hours walking tour, you’ll explore the culture and history of Hanoi as you step into a world full of street food vendors. Unlike big cities all around the world, street food in Hanoi are not just hot dog carts and pretzel stands, we offer an opportunity to try out many different dishes at local food stand as well as local family restaurants. A rotating menu from day-to-day to represent the variety of delicious options, but tastings might include, but are subject to change: rice noodle soup with beef, rice noodle with chicken, rice noodle with grilled pork, snail, or dry noodle, sticky rice, along with various kinds of donut, steamed pancake or Vietnamese sandwiches.

5.00We had the food tour booked with Bob and it was outstanding! We had booked an earlier one that was unfortunately cancelled due to the holiday and found this last minute and Bob the tour guide did not disappoint! We tasted so many delicious foods that got better and better and by the end of it we were stuffed. Bob is hilarious, knowledgeable and shared so many fun tidbits about Vietnam. If only it wasn’t the holiday it would have been lovely to go to his mother’s restaurant for some chicken feet. Next time!

5.00I was traveling with my family to Ninh Binh last weekend. The trip was amazing. My friend has recommended me to book this tour through Indochina Kite Travel company and Bob was our tour guide. He’s so special in all functions like Thế tour running skill, enthusiasm, so knowledgeable about Vietnam history and Ninh Binh one. I really love the home lunch at a local restaurant with traditional dishes and the very comfortable luxury minivan. In general, i had a memorable trip with the tour guide Bob and this company. If anyone travels to Ninh Binh, please book Bob and this company. All of you will have an unforgettable trip.🫶❤️👍

5.00Bob was an amazing tour guide! It was not my first food tour in Vietnam but this one was absolutly the best!! The food was AMAZING. Bob always asked us what we would like to try or which kind of food we love. I had the feeling that he really wants to give us the perfect tour and what should I say: he did! I‘m vegetarian and was little worried about the food because with other food tours the vegetarian option was always a little basic and nothing special. But this tour was perfect for vegetarians, loved the food and the tour!

5.00Mary and I went on a street food tour with Bob on February 12 2026. It was a group of five, which made it easy for us to find seats at a table. As great as the food was, it was also fantastic to see how the food places in the old quarter operated in a small space I cannot pick a favorite, I loved it all. Bob grew up in the old quarter so he knew the best places to take us.

5.00Chi was wonderful! She is super passionate about food and goes above and beyond to make sure you have the best experience with the most delicious food. We told her at the start that we eat everything and would like to try some more interesting local Vietnamese food (luckily our other group members had no allergies and loved all food too/not picky). Chi went out of her way to show us some great different meals (e.g. sandworm pancakes and more). She sends through all of the details of the places and has great recommendations for other places as well. She really cares and loves food making her a great guide!

5.00Amazing night !! Really thrilled and highly recommend this small group food tour. Our Tour Foodie (Chi) was so amazing and she customised our trip once she found out we were all keen to try some different and new foods (eg Sandworm pancake) and after was lovely enough to walk us to Train Street and grab us front row seat when the train past...Also our 'food tour' mates were wonderful and entertaining... Always a bonus.
