This tour was a brilliant way to get to explore Hanoi old quarter and get a local’s introduction to their food. Our tour guide Bob was such a great guy and made it all so fun and interesting for us and our 3 kids (ages 8 up to 14). The food was delicious and we got to see hidden places we would never have thought to try. Highly recommend. Note if doing this with kids they do need to be reasonably adventurous and open minded to try non-western grub!

A great way to get ‘into’ experiencing the local culture without the hassle of it being ’hit or miss!’ The guide was very informative and helpful with all our questions. The amount of food was amazing too! Highly recommend.

We had a great time on the food tour. Our guide Viet really made the experience awesome. He listened to all of our preferences and made sure we all got exactly what we wanted. He answered all of our questions and we learned so much about Vietnamese food, with bonus information about language and culture. Went home with a belly full of great food and some exciting recommendations to try in the coming days. Highly recommend doing this tour early in your travels so you know what to eat for the rest of your trip.

Mai took us to local restaurants and into a couple homes and into the alleys. The food was great. The window into the culture made the experience great. I highly recommend this tour and you will be sure of the best possible experience if you get Mai.

We went on a street food tour with Bob. He was an amazing guide! It felt like we really got to learn about street food and some of the intricacies of different dishes - what to add and when . We visited about 5 or 6 eateries - everything was delicious. It was definitely a good idea to be taken around by a local! A trip to train street was included in the tour (although you need to buy your own drink there) this was an unexpected highlight and we were grateful to have Bob there to get us front row seats! What a knowledgable and lovely guide. Highly recommend.

It was my first evening in Hanoi and in Vietnam and it was the perfect thing to do. Being guided around the old quarter to cozy and absolutly delicious food places by the very kind and knowlegable guide Bob. Great food, great vibe, great Guide. Even while being jet-lagged and a vegetarian. The perfect introduction to Hanoi. The food was amazing and might be some of the best I have tried, and I have tried a lot of things across other asian countries and the world. Thank you Bob!
