If you want to get out of Frankfurt and see a different part of the region, this is a great tour. A bit of a long drive with traffic but the Hohenzollern Burg is definitely worth seeing and the countryside near the castle is beyond charming. We also stopped in Tubingen to see where my ancestors lived and seeing the old stadt was perfect. Thomas balanced time management and fun very well - getting us where we needed to be despite considerable traffic. Given the length of travel time (about 3 hours with traffic), it may be a challenge to do with younger children or people who would need to stop a lot.
