The Mekong Delta is the southernmost region of Vietnam. It is often referred to as the rice bowl of Vietnam as it produces three harvests per year. The fertile Mekong Delta is also famous for its tropical fruits and flowers. The delta area marks the end of a 4,500km journey made by the Mekong River after having traveled through six countries. Mỹ Tho is one of the biggest cities in the Mekong Delta, dotted with serene Buddhist pagodas and surrounded by dense rivers. Many great destinations for visitors have been established by the local government and private companies, serving thousands of tourists every day. We recommend this tour for those who want to get an overview of the Mekong Delta for a few delightful hours.

What To Expect
Pick-up Time: between 8:00a.m. - 08:30a.m. at hotels located in District 1; and drive 1,5 hours to the Mekong River. We will stop along the way for refreshments and toilet.

5.00This day trip to the Mekong Delta was fun, informative, educational, and rich in local culture. The experience was brought to life by our excellent guide Luan (Ethan) who looked after us very well and helped to make this a memorable day. The sampan ride guided by a local lady who paddled us gently along the tree lined river channel was probably the highlight.

5.00We thoroughly enjoyed our private excursion to the Mekong Delta. Our tour guide, Luan, was excellent. He and our driver picked us up at the cruise port. He has excellent rapport with the people at the various sites we visited, spoke excellent English and imparted lots of interesting facts about his country. He also wanted to learn about our country, so it was a very pleasant day of conversation back and forth. The lunch we were served was outstanding and we had fun visiting islands by boat. I highly recommend this tour.

4.00Nice roundtrip in Mekong delta with a small group of people. Comfortable minivan and a super guide. Hung speaks very good English and with his positive attitude and enthusiasm we learned a lot about Vietnamese culture and history. The Mekong delta is an interesting society worth visiting.
A great day out if you’re visiting HCMC.

5.00What a great experience. The Mekong Delta is a must see. A good respite from the craziness of HCMC. Our tour guide Manh was amazing and his insights into life in the delta was fascinating. Super friendly with a great demeanour and accommodating. The tour group specialises in small groups so it did not feel like you’re being bussed in. This is a good option if you’d like to see another side of life in Vietnam.
