We enjoyed our visit to Phillip Island. The scenery was beautiful. The highlight for the day was the Penguin Parade. We opted for the Plus tour that allowed us to have a closer view of the penguins emerging. It is worth the additional cost since the penguins are very small. We enjoyed our tour, however it is a very long day.

As the van did not pick us up until after 2:00 pm, there was not enough time to spend at the on route animal sanctuary. We arrived at 3:30 and it closed at 4:00. Otherwise, the van was comfortable, the driver and guide excellent. We paid extra for a closer viewing of the Penguin Parade which was worthwhile. As we were the last to be picked up, I assumed we would be the first to be dropped off, but unfortunately we were the last at midnight. Due to a concert it was very slow going through mid town Melbourne. He said he should have dropped us off first and I think been aware of the concert and how it would affect traffic.
