That's a big NO! Our guides are educated in wildlife and nature. We can identify animals, plants, and tree species, allowing for a complete understanding of what you are experiencing! We have the best route/ itinerary curtailed to perfection. From waterfalls, caves, light to moderate hiking, and a plethora of knowledge! Our tour was guided by Henry, whom I found to be a complete package. Immediately after booking, he advised me about the good and safe places to stay in Rio. He took our age and devised a plan to suit our physical abilities. He was very informative during the tour and showed us various plants, mushrooms, flowers, birds and insects. He hand-held us and guided us on difficult parts of the hike. He also took pictures and mailed them to us without delay. We enjoyed the forest as well as the excellent company that Henry provided. I wish him the best of luck for his future endeavours and have no hesitation in recommending him as an excellent guide and human being.

Really enjoyed this trip. Because it's a small group tour, it's much more personalised and can be adaptable to the wishes of the group than, say, one of the larger jeep tours that I saw all over the place. We were able to go to parts of the forest that they weren't able (or willing) to reach. Henry (the guide) is passionate and knowledgeable about the area. What's more he's an American expat living in Rio so his English is impeccable too (well, for a Yankee, anyway. Sorry Henry - LOL) and everything is clear and understandable. I had a great time with this tour and would recommend it thoroughly over any of the larger tours. ps; He's also a 'toucan-spotter extraordinaire'

Henry and Ricardo gave us a fabulous day out in Tijuca forest. They tailored the experience to our ability and preferences- very supporting and accommodating. A great mixture of history & information along with a humorous touch.

Such a peaceful forest to visit. Henry shown many things, more than I was expected. So happy to have seen monckeys, toucan, coati, many birds, water falls, caves, awesome views, etc. Henry has a high level of knowledge of this area. He even accomodated to start earlier so I would not miss my flight and accomodated me as well to return to my hotel. Just note that it is not an easy walk through the forest, you should be in good shape to really enjoy the experience.

Highlight of our trip! Our tour guide, Henry, was incredible. He graciously accommodated a last-minute change to our schedule due to a flight delay, which we greatly appreciated. You can tell he cares a lot about the environment and is very passionate about what he does. Henry shared fascinating stories about the forest and its trees, bringing the experience to life. He also has a great sense of humor and was great with our kid!

Well, I have a lot of things to say about this tour, and it is all positive. With his great knowledge of the area and goal to find the unique and not so over-crowded spots, Henry was a wonderful guide. He speaks perfect English, had great humor and did not mind making way for us, through other groups groups of turists. We were picked up at our hotel in Barra de Tijuca at 7.15 am and ended the last stop in the national park well past 2 pm, making this the best value-for-money tour in the area. Other jungle tour takes you to the area for only 2h tours, but Henry made sure we got a great experience. Maybe we got lucky, but we saw many monkeys, a beautiful snake and heard a tucan. For your own sake, consider this tour!

We spent a brilliant few hours with our guide, Henry, exploring the waterfalls in the Tijuca Forest. We went early in the day to avoid the crowds. Henry was a great person to be our guide, he was friendly and kind. He told us so much about life in Rio, and took us to some great places in the forest. Sadly we didn’t get to see any of the views of Rio as the weather was very cloudy, but if you did this tour on a sunny day, the views would be fabulous. Our teenage boys enjoyed the trek and Henry’s company too. Highly recommend.
