Drinking age is 18 years old
Due to a few stairs to access wine cellars, this tour is not accessible for those using a wheelchair
Vegetarian & gluteen free, can be accommodated, please advise at time of booking under special requirements.
Wines tasted: reds typical of the Chianti region ( normally Chianti Classico, Riserva, Super Tuscans, Gran Selezione, etc.).
Operates rain or shine, please dress appropriately
Luggage can be stored on the bus during the tour, if needed
Return at departure point: 1:45pm for the 9.00am tour - 7:00pm for the 2:30pm tour. To reserve other activities, allow plenty of time, in case of heavy traffic, etc.
Visited wineries may vary depending on their availability, etc.; they may be 2 of the following Fattoria Montecchio, Casa Emma, San Michele a Torri, Villa Poggio Torselli, Podere Anselmo, Casa di Monte, Tenuta Capponi, Villa i Langi, Tenuta San Vito, etc.
For cruise ship passengers only: if your ship docks at Livorno or La Spezia Port, be advised that the driving time to the meeting point in Florence is approx. 2 hours. Before booking, be sure your ship schedule works with our departure times, and you have your own transportation arranged from the port to Florence and back.

What To Expect
Drive through the Tuscan wine country while your guide introduces you to the great wine culture of Tuscany, sharing interesting info about what you will experience, see and do. Stop to the first winery and taste 3 or more wines, olive oil... Enjoy a short ride admiring the marvellous Tuscan countryside, to the second wine estate, where a tasty cold cuts platter is served and paired with a selection of wines, olive oil, etc.

5.00We had a wonderful time! As our spacious and comfortable bus left Florence for an afternoon of wine tastings, our guide was very knowledgeable, not only on city sites we passed as we traveled further into countryside, but also helped us learn about the types of wine we would be tasting, as well as the process of making olive oil and balsamic. Once we arrived at the 2 wine estates, we were greeted by very friendly hosts who allowed us to experience a lovely afternoon of tastings, including delicious pairings of meets, cheeses, and oils. The afternoon was filled with laughter, delicious wine choices, beautiful Italian scenery, and facts about the wine making process that helped us to enjoy that much more. We would definitely recommend to anyone!

The second time was not a disappointment - it was even better! It was a different year and season, making the experience different but still unforgettable. Jonathan is a perfect guide who keeps the tour fun, hands us off to the hosts of the wineries and then entertains us thoroughly through out the whole tour.
