Hiking toward the waterfalls without ropes or harnesses makes this activity unique on the island of São Miguel—and likely throughout the world. We use our bodies to climb, we can jump over the waterfalls, and we experience moments of connection; that’s why it’s called the “Body Nature Experience.”

You will be accompanied by a specialized guide.

What To Expect

This activity takes place in one of the most beautiful locations on the island of São Miguel, on the Moinho do Félix Trail. It is an experience that combines the best of outdoor adventure and well-being, combining waterfall climbing and the thrill of jumping. It awakens your presence and connection with nature. Unlike traditional canyoning, we do not use ropes or harnesses, and we walk towards the waterfalls, providing an immersive experience with your body and with nature. We will explore the stream from bottom to top, where at each waterfall you will have the opportunity to create moments of action, such as jumping, climbing, and venturing into the water. There is the alternative of being able to bypass the waterfalls if you feel any discomfort in the water, and throughout the walk you can enjoy the beauty of being immersed in a wild space and thus enjoy the walk at your own pace.

We just couldn't get enough of these adrenaline-inducing activities with Bruno, that we booked a third activity with him! Picture this — normally on a rainy hike, you're careful with where you step, you don't want your clothes to get all muddy, you soak in the scenery and then it usually stops there. However, with canyoning ascent, you're living the moment. Too hot? You freshen up in a cool stream. You touch rocks along the stream or logs covered in moss and lichen that feel like soft carpet under your hands. You climb what nature allows you to climb. It wakes up every sense in your body. It's just thrilling and I would totally do it all over again. Shoutout to Bruno, he really made every moment count and helped me wherever I had needed assistance! One of my favorite activities on the island of São Miguel :)

Bruno always communicated via email quickly (in English) and was accommodating. You can tell by his enthusiasm that he enjoys his work. I highly recommend this experience. It combines some relaxing sight-seeing of the great outdoors, some physical activity with several optional adrenaline-pumping waterfall jumps and some education on the natural surroundings of the Azores. Bruno encourages but does not force you to try to challenge yourself and offers alternate ways to explore the canyon. We were fortunate to have a private tour. Bruno took care to ensure our safety.

It was such a nice experience. I can highly recommend trying it out. We had a lot of fun with Bruno, who introduced us to the nature, gave us best advice and was very patient and friendly. Also talking to him was a pleasure :) I have fear of deep water and I did not feel anything from it on the trip. It was perfect. Also my mum was able to participate, even though she is nearly 60. Thank you so much Bruno for this great experience in the nature. I don't know how it could have been better :)

Amazing water trekking with Bruno! 🌊 He took us to a gorgeous spot with several waterfalls - and yes, you can jump into each one! The route wasn’t hard but gave just the right challenge. Our 9-year-old loved it, and it became one of our best days on the island. If you love nature, and especially water, this is a must-do for families, couples, or friends. Fun, safe, and unforgettable - thank you, Bruno!

We had a fantastic water trekking experience with our guide, Bruno Bagnari. We explored one of the most beautiful spots on the island. Bruno was an excellent instructor — patient, professional, and always making sure we felt safe and comfortable. The walk itself was not difficult but challenge.It's a perfect activity for families. We did it with our 9-year-old son, and it was an unforgettable fun for all of us. The route included walking through the river, climbing small waterfalls, and a few jumping from heights up to 3 meters (optional, but so much fun!). We highly recommend this adventure to anyone looking for an active, family-friendly experience in nature. Thank you, Bruno, for making it so special!

I was invited to go Coasteering yesterday with some friends and I really didn’t know what to expect. I was blown away with the experience! Bruno was an incredible guide. this was definitely out of my comfort zone, but Bruno made me feel safe every step of the way and I had the time of my life! I would highly recommend booking this excursion while you’re here on this magical island.

The trip began with a gentle yoga session in a beautiful natural setting, which helped everyone prepare both physically and mentally for the activities ahead. The river journey itself was breathtaking — moving through crystal-clear waters, climbing, swimming under a waterfall, and jumping from stunning waterfalls surrounded by lush, untouched landscapes.
