Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail
The densely forested Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail is a solitary path. The drive up the mountain will definitely reward you with stunning scenery of the Smoky Mountains. En route you'll make stops to enjoy the spectacular views. You’ll learn all about the woodland that makes up the Smoky Mountains - chestnut oak, white oak, magnolia, maple and tulip trees. The tour was amazing! Our guide David was awesome. He had so much great info. He went above and beyond. If we saw something, he would pull over for us to take pictures and always offered to take group photos for us. Such a great time!

This was the second time my husband and I did this tour, and this time we included our grandson. We were very happy to have David as our guide on both trips. He has a gift for relating his personal experiences and knowledge of the area with his tour members. He truly loves his job! Our tour this time had to be revised due to some trouble in the Roaring Fork area, so David made the best of the problem and gave us a revised tour of other areas in the national park, trying(and succeeding) to give us all the best experiences possible. We highly recommend that you ask for David as your guide on your tour; he is the best!
