What To Expect

Start your day with a transfer by minivan in air-conditioned comfort to Thong Sala Pier in the west of Koh Phangan. After a light breakfast, take off your watch and escape to Koh Tao aboard the convenient speed boat. The first stop will be at Lighthouse Bay, Mango Bay, Tanote Bay or Ao Hin Wong on Koh Tao, depending on the tides. Here you can snorkel on beautiful coral reefs in blue water and marvel at the sandbar beaches formed by the ocean's currents. Continue to the private island of Koh Nangyuan which is actually made up of three little teardrops of land connected by a massive sandbar. It’s a place where post-card dreams are made: unique topography, blindingly white sand beaches, and shores teeming with fish and coral. 4.00Before the tour, I read a review that said, "Not for the faint hearted," and thought they were being ridiculous. However, this boat trip is definitely not for the faint hearted. The crew are great, the snorkeling is amazing, and the beaches were incredible. The journey back is hilariously choppy but I'd suggest you take a sickness tablet if you suffer at all... They just smash you into each and every wave for an hour and a half. If you're an OAP, don't do it. All in all, had a great time.
Food was so-so. But they give you 3 hours to explore Ko Nang Yuan

3.00How much snorkeling do you like to do? I took this Koh Tao tour with Lomlakhirin. The employees are very nice. But Lomlak goes to 2 snorkeling sites, then spends 3 hours on Ko Nang Yuan. Another company (Mr. Tu's) goes to 4 dive sites and spends 90 minutes on Ko Nang Yuan. My one criticism with Lomlakhirin is the food was not good on Ko Nang Yuan. There were few vegetarian options. They only served Som Tam, and rice with steamed vegetables. They did not spend money on a good restaurant. They ate lunch on Ko Nang Yuan. Mr. Tu's Ko Tao tour went to a much better restaurant that offered Pad Thai, Vegetable spring rolls with sauce, Tofu, plus deserts and more choices for meat eaters. I was looking forward to lunch, so that's why the basic, lackluater buffet offered on Ko Nang Yuan was a huge disappointment. If I took another tour, I would avoid Lomlakhirin because they went to the cheapest restaurant they could find.

4.00Due to the waves and wind we haf a bumpy ride to Koh Tao. The crew was attentive and provided essential stuff. The snorkeling was wonderful, beautiful corals and alot of colorful fish. The lunch was buffet-style and had vegan options. Also snorkeling at Koh Nang Yuan was a unique experience. Optional to the water activities, one could hike to the viewpoint.

5.00Great experience! Also my first time on a speedboat, super fun to go in the front and feel some bouncing. Was lucky because it was cloudy all day, bad for photos but great for experiencing everything (I suffer a bit the Thailand heat ^^'). There were many fish, and this couple that did snorkeling in many places said it was one of the best places :) The lunch was also great, and the staff lovely :)
