With the choice of three daily departures from Cairns, this Green Island cruise is perfect for visitors with limited time, offering a half or full day experience (up to 7 hours). You will have the choice of a glass bottom boat coral viewing tour or snorkelling equipment.
As a Great Adventures guest, you’ll also be able to enjoy many exclusive inclusions such as the use of the island swimming pool and a self guided eco island walk to discover some of the island’s unique rainforest flora. What To Expect
Green Island National Park
Green Island is a beautiful 6000 year old coral cay. It's the only coral cay on the Great Barrier Reef with a rainforest! You will have a choice of snorkel equipment to snorkel from the white sandy beaches or to stay dry and see the island's reef from the glass bottom boat. Enjoy a walk through the lush rainforest.

Convenient transport to Green Island

4.00We came in on a cruise ship so this was a convenient option for our port schedule. The catamaran was spacious so you could bring your own gear. The glass bottom boat was easy to get to right next to to the catamaran landing point. On the boat had 30 minutes of glimpsing coral, clams, and many fish. It goes by quickly but was nice for those of us who didn’t like to swim. We saw turtles from the jetty. Activities after that are on your. Plenty of cafes for food purchase. Crocodile enclosure (30 AUD). Near shore snorkeling (equipment rentals available). Or a short boardwalk through the rain forest. After about 2 hours of free time we arrived back promptly at 3:15.
Great to see the reef but wanted a longer time on the glass boat

4.00The boat was neat, saw many fish and coral, however we were sad it was only 30 minutes. Our boat guide was great though! The island was really neat to explore. The food options were very limited as one worker said it was due to the holidays and them selling out of many items. Our weather was hot and humid. We luckily missed the storm that came through in the previous days, but it did cause some water cloudiness.

5.00Snorkelling is good straight off beach, don’t have to go out too far. The glass bottom boat was also really good and worth doing. The croc park was also a highlight, and the service there amazing!

5.00Exceptional experience, the ferries are punctual, the staff on board are very courteous, ready to clarify any questions you may have. The island is a paradise, clean, with an abundance of marine life. The glass-bottom boat tour is highly recommended!
