• Traverse the famous Crib Goch ridge to the summit of Snowdon
• Small group adventures loved by 100% of hikers
• Great for solo travellers, friends and families!
• BOOK THROUGH TO OCTOBER 2026!
Without doubt the most awesome route to the top of Snowdon has to be via Crib Goch. With grade one scrambles and a knife-edged arête it’s the ultimate Snowdon challenge.
It starts with an easy climb from Pen y Pass along the Pyg Track before veering off to tackle the exposed ridge of Crib Goch. The bravest will march confidently along the top whilst the more nervous will be on all fours with most people managing a bit of both! The pinnacles give you a bit of easy vertical scrambling before the easy walk to Snowdon’s summit. Your return journey will be along the Miners’ Track where you’ll have amazing views back up to Crib Goch.
We only work with qualified and experienced mountain guides who are fully insured and hold up-to-date first aid certificates.

You'll meet your MountainXperience guide at the Pen-y-Pass car park and have a chat about what the day involves and check you've got everything you need. The walk starts with an easy climb from Pen y Pass along the Pyg Track before veering off to tackle the exposed ridge of Crib Goch. The bravest will march confidently along the top whilst the more nervous will be on all fours with most people managing a bit of both! The pinnacles give you a bit of easy vertical scrambling before the easy walk to Snowdon's summit. You'll then descend to the south to the rough, rocky Y Lliwedd with its amazing views back to Crib Goch then further down into Cwm Dyli before joining the Miners' Track back to the start. The route is a little over seven miles (11.4km) and will take around six hours.

A thoroughly enjoyable mountain day blessed with perfect weather conditions. Simon was a very professional, patient & knowledgeable guide. One of the best mountain days I've had. One of the best £59 I've ever spent!

Crip Goch was a fantastic experience. A big thank you to Connor our mountain leader. He kept us all safe in a small group. He was like a professional friend. I highly recommend the experience. Martin

Went with my dad- shortly after my birthday- brilliant trip- well worth the time and effort- apart from people screaming pretending to fall off which seemed a shame as it was frightening. Big crowd but not as many as i expected- got a bit burnt but completely free to do!

A great day from start to finish. Simon and Nick (and Peris the Welsh Collie) met the group and gave us all a big welcome. We were soon on our way, being well guided and with encouragement where needed. I joined this group to tackle Crib Goch and this proved to be a good decision given the terrain. We were shown the best route and given several options for extra 'fun' along the way - slightly more challenging diversions. The guides and those in the group work well together making the hike a fabulous experience.

Great day on Crib Goch with MountainXperience highly recommend this company to anyone . Special mention about Smyrff our leader who is very knowledgeable and made sure everyone felt safe as none of the group had done Crib Goch before

Under the excellent guidance of Simon i made the ascent of Crib Goch including the 3 pinnacles and any trepidation i had was eased with the experience and knowledge he posessed. The weather was kind which helped but i now feel that i could do it myself such was the confidence he gave me. Would thoroughly recommend Mountain Xperience if like me were unsure of ascending Crib Goch by yourself.

Fantastic day out. The most fun I’ve had in years. This is our third trip with Simon. He was an exceptional guide as usual and really helped make the trip memorable for my son and nephew who are both aged 13.

Absolutely awesome day. Exhilarating, almost frightening in parts, but overall educational too, thanks to Simon and his expert guiding hand. Shared it with a brilliant group of people, and thank you to them too. Including my 13 yr old son, who Simon could not have looked after any better (although it wasn’t him who needed kid gloves, that was me!). I would never have been able to either navigate this route, or indeed complete it, without Simon and his patience (which I stretched somewhat) and his expertise. Could not recommend this company more.

Had a brilliant day, led by Smyrff. Learned loads and pushed myself just the right amount outside of my comfort zone. Absolutely loved it and would highly recommend.
