5.00We were 5 friends who booked this together, and everyone had a fantastic experience from start to finish. We were picked up outside the apartment we were staying in and the driver we had was top notch with service and we had fun conversations during the rafting. On the rafting there were good instructors who provided good training and tips so that anyone who has not tried this before will feel safe the whole way. Our instructor was funny and clear in what he said, so that the whole experience went like a dream. Of course, there has been little rain in the lead up to our rafting, so the water level is far from what it is at its peak in the spring, but this was a fantastic experience.

5.00When I joined the River Rafting Adventure in Bulgaria, I didn’t really know what to expect, but it turned out to be one of the most memorable days of my trip. The day started with a hotel pickup in Sofia, which was super convenient, and then we drove through beautiful mountain roads on the way to the Struma River. The scenery alone made the ride worth it. When we arrived at the Kresna Gorge, the guides were waiting for us with all the gear—helmets, wetsuits, life jackets—and they explained everything in such a clear and friendly way that even beginners like me felt safe and excited. Once we got on the river, the real fun began. The route was about 8 to 10 kilometers, and it was the perfect mix of fast, bouncy rapids that got everyone screaming and laughing, and calmer sections where we could just relax and take in the cliffs and forests around us. What made it even more special was the way the guides kept the mood upbeat—they joked with us, told stories, and even started little games between the rafts. It felt less like a tour and more like an adventure with friends. By the end, we were all wet, tired, and smiling ear to ear. The ride back to Sofia gave us time to relax and replay the highlights of the day, and I couldn’t stop thinking about how refreshing and energizing it all felt. It was the perfect mix of adrenaline, teamwork, and nature—something I’ll definitely never forget.
