First, we will take a boat to visit a huge floating fish farm owned by a local family. There, we can understand how the locals make a living from the river's natural resources, while also stimulating your senses with a unique fish foot massage

Then we walk along with villagers to discover the lives of local people living on a green islet in the middle of the Mekong River. Their income is based on feeding fishes and cultivating a variety of fruits. A trip to the Mekong River would not be complete without a visit to a tropical fruit garden in which we will learn how locals tend to these gardens and of course enjoy some of our pickings!

Finally, a local host family will prepare a cozy dinner with a hotpot soup made with local fishes, vegetables and herbs.

Travelling by boat along the Mekong River, we will explore many activities of the local inhabitants. First, we will take a boat along the Mekong, visiting a huge floating fish farm owned by a local family. Then we walked along with villagers to discover the lives of local people living on a green islet in the middle of the Mekong River. We spent a very nice day together with Linh. The main attractions were for us the fish farm and the Pop rice Tour. We even got a bag full of Pop rice.!!!!Highly recommended to do it in a sunny day.

This was an authentic experience and helped me start to understand village life in the Mekong Delta. Our guide Pi was welcomed into the homes of people on Son Islet as if she was part of their family. I recommend you don't eat too much before you go on this tour because we ate a lot! We tried different fruits, popped rice and finished with a delicious seafood hotpot. The tour of the fish farm was also very interesting. We fed the fish, experienced a fish 'massage' and tried fish patties. Overall a great tour and I highly recommend it!

This was our second tour with Mekong Realism (the first being Largest Floating Market, Wild Canal System And Organic Chocolate tour) and I have nothing but lavish praise for the company, our guide, David, and the tour itself. It was interesting, varied and well-organized. I'm surprised this tour has so few reviews; it should be much more widely known.

A very nice tour made, we started at a fish farm, there we got a good explanation about how such a fish farm works, then on to the island where we made a very nice tour including rice puffs and a lot of explanation about the residents and their way of life. We also had a very nice and enthusiastic guide, very helpful and nice. We can definitely recommend this tour to everyone!!

The most beautiful thing done during our travel in Vietnam! It was very well organized and authentic. Our guide (Trena) was so funny, friendly, full of energy and humour that made our expercience unforgettable. We highly recommend it to discover a bit of the real life in the countryside of Mekong river.

We did a tour with Trena, we had a great time, had a very nice afternoon, the fish farm was very nice, especially the foot massage, hotpot was also very tasty, and we had a lot of information about Vietnam, Trena is a very enthusiastic and cheerful guide, highly recommended.
