Had a fun and informative off roading adventure in the Sonoran desert with our guide, Marty. We were eager to learn more about the desert flora and fauna and Marty was full of interesting facts to share. Besides detailed information about the majestic Saguaro, we were introduced to other species, such as the teddy bear cholla, barrel compass, prickly pear, and buckhorn cholla cacti as well as the Arizona state tree, the palo verde. We stopped on a desert plateau to admire a beautiful sunset which Marty captured with one cell phone photo after another. The road back to the highway was shorter and more direct but it was surprisingly chilly after sunset. Definitely need to bring a warm fleece and perhaps, a knit hat to enjoy the open air ride. Seeing the grand Saguaro silhouetted against the sky made me appreciate why the Native tribes consider each one the soul of a departed loved one.

Awesome experience and top notch professional service. We had Jay McPhaul as our guide and boy he didn’t disappoint and we highly reccomend him as your guide. He was very knowledgeable, down to earth and easy to talk to. He showed us the different kinds of cactus native to the area and we even got to try eating some! The off-roading was awesome and the sunset was out of this world. Highly recommend Jay and the crew for your next adventure!

Excellent tour guide, spectacular sunset views from the mountains. Felt like we really went 4-wheeling off-road, and learned a lot about the desert and Arizona.
