What To Expect
River City Cruises
A great day out at South Bank and includes the Morning Cruise with River City Cruises, a private gondola ride on The Wheel of Brisbane and lunch and beverage at the Plough Inn Tavern. Perfect idea for a gift or get the work team together for a day out of the office. Your day will start with leisurely river tour where you will hear all about Brisbane including morning tea. The cruise departs at 10.30am and returns back to at 12.00pm, your reservation at the Plough Inn will be for 12.30pm. The departure point is the from the Cultural Centre Public Pontoon, South Bank on the river in front of the Cultural Centre. From here you will need to make your way to Southbank to ride the Wheel of Brisbane and enjoy lunch at the Plough Inn Tavern, if you would like an alternate booking time please note this in your booking. Vouchers need to be used on the day of purchase. Lunch at the Plough Inn Hotel is a set menu and includes a complimentary beverage.

5.00We booked a river cruise as a way to see Brisbane from the river. The cruise also included a great lunch and a ride on the Brisbane Wheel. We enjoyed all three and would highly recommend this cruise for anyone visiting Brisbane!

5.00The place to start your adventure is easy to find. The team on the boat are friendly and helpful. While you go down on the Brisbane River, you are hearing interesting things about the river. When returning to the starting point, you head to the plough inn where you have lunch. After that you have a relaxing time looking at the sites of Brisbane on the channel 7 wheel at southbank

5.00Started with an informative cruise down the river. Many points of interest were pointed out. Refreshments were served but we didn’t want to miss anything to get up and take any. We sat up on top in a covered open air area. I believe an air conditioned space was in h th e first level. After 1.5 hours down the river and back, we were given vouchers to ride the Wheel of Brisbane which was a short walk from the pier. I think we got four revolutions and had great views! Then another short walk to The Plough Inn for which we also had vouchers. We had pizza, fish and chips, and a burger, all which were delicious. Highly recommend this excursion. It was a very good deal for the money.

Relaxing river cruise followed by a meal at the Ploughmans inn and topped off with stunning aerial views via the Brisbane eye … if you’re looking for a different way to see Brisbane, thus us definitely one way to go!!

3.00The cruise was good, we enjoyed the ride on the Wheel, but then when we arrived at the Plough Inn we were told quite abruptly that we should have been there at 12.30 and they had given our table away. This was about 1.00 pm when we arrived. At no time were we told we needed to go straight to the Plough Inn for a set time, in fact at boarding I queried the guy handing out the tickets how it worked, and were told we could go th the Wheel and Plough Inn whenever we wanted, as long as it was on the same day as the cruise. Eventually a table was found for us at Plough Inn but we were left with no instructions how to order, and when I went to the counter to order, the menu we were shown on the cruise wasn't available, and the order taker just called a few dishes out to me, as she didn't have a menu there. I know there were more choices than what she gave me, but just ordered off the limited few choices she offered. The chicken Caesar Salad was nice, but I don't think it was the one on our menu we were shown on the boat. I think if we had been told we had a reservation for 12.30 and had the reserved table we would probably have been given a menu and better service so it probably isn't the fault of the Plough Inn. Please inform your guests properly if they have a set time for dining as part of the Combo pass! We would happily have gone straight there if we had known.

5.00This was more than I expected. A great way to see the layout of the city and learn some history of the area and river. The lunch was good value for money and the Brisbane wheel was something I wouldn't have tried without the deal.

5.00This is a sure must to do on your trip here in Brisbane. The cruise is a nice relaxing experience. The crew is very informative and the tea and scones were so delicious. Also the combo pass is just amazing for what you get. Cruise then the lunch at the Plough Inn the food soooooo great. After that the Ferris Wheel experience too. So much at such an unbelievable price. Amazing!!!!!!!
