Entry to Salisbury Cathedral
Salisbury
After travelling through the stunning countryside and villages of Wiltshire, we arrive for a short photo stop in the charming town of Salisbury. We walk through the Medieval St Ann's Gate and the cathedral close, seeing an impressive collection of historic buildings, and then take time to admire its impressive tower and spire - at 404 feet the tallest in the country - constructed in a short space of time from 1220 to 1258. We then enter the cloisters, built from 1261, and the largest in the country, to complete our walk. Unfortunately, there is not enough time to enter Salisbury Cathedral on this tour.
Stonehenge
On the way to our second stop if the day, Stonehenge, your guide will tell you of he many myths, legends and facts behind one of the greatest mysteries of the prehistoric world. Was it a temple, a clock, a burial site? Decide for yourself as you walk around the stones. You'll have the chance to visit this world famous monument from 4-5,000 years ago and still have enough time for the gift shop or a quick coffee. You'll also have the chance to explore the new visitor centre and neolithic village.

This was the only tour I found that allowed us to see Stonehenge AND Windsor Castle (+ Salisbury) post-cruise & having them drop us right off at our hotel in London was FABULOUS! We loved being able to see these places! It was organized really well, considering they were picking up from multiple ships & dropping off at several locations! Instead of making everyone go to all the drop-off spots, after Windsor they put the hotel goers into smaller vans, so it took a lot less time to drop everyone off. The guide & driver were great. Knowledgable, fun & good-humored! Great job of adjusting time at each stop to maximize the time. They really made the day a highlight of out trip! Highly recommend this post-cruise trip! It included much more & cost less than what NCL offered. Not having to schlep our luggage or make additional accommodations to get to our hotel after this excursion was a HUGE benefit!! Thank you for a great "1st day in London"! 🤩 =:)

The three venues were great but we did have a fair number of logistical issues. Picking up multiple ships tour operator requested earlier debarkation for some travelers, waiting for host to get correct paperwork at one venue, driver taking wrong turns and wasting time on travel that could have been spent at venues, shifting to another van to get back to London from Windsor castle. Not enough time at venues. maybe pick 2 for a whole day instead of trying to do all three. Definately not enough time at Stonehenge and host wanted to cut out 1/2 hour...

Very personable guide was well versed of the area. A bit of a walk in a group trying to keep site of the guide and then left on your own. Important to pay attention to the castle route while keeping an eye on the guide.
