Entry to Salisbury Cathedral
Salisbury
After travelling through the stunning countryside and villages of Wiltshire, we arrive for a short photo stop in the charming town of Salisbury. We walk through the Medieval St Ann's Gate and the cathedral close, seeing an impressive collection of historic buildings, and then take time to admire its impressive tower and spire - at 404 feet the tallest in the country - constructed in a short space of time from 1220 to 1258. We then enter the cloisters, built from 1261, and the largest in the country, to complete our walk. Unfortunately, there is not enough time to enter Salisbury Cathedral on this tour.
Stonehenge
On the way to our second stop if the day, Stonehenge, your guide will tell you of he many myths, legends and facts behind one of the greatest mysteries of the prehistoric world. Was it a temple, a clock, a burial site? Decide for yourself as you walk around the stones. You'll have the chance to visit this world famous monument from 4-5,000 years ago and still have enough time for the gift shop or a quick coffee. You'll also have the chance to explore the new visitor centre and neolithic village.

First, I need to clarify that I did not go on the tour, but will explain why. Our coach driver became very ill when he arrived at the port. We were told we would have to wait 1 1/2 hours for a new driver to arrive from London. That was later changed to, we will be changing busses. My spouse and I had another tour planned that evening in London, and by that time, we were leaving 1 1/4 hours late. My husband asked the guide if we got off the bus and took a taxi would we get a full refund. He told us yes--twice! When I contacted the operator asking why we hadn't received notice of our refund, they sent an email that said the guide informed us we would only be refunded if the tour did not happen. This was completely untrue; many people around us heard the full conversation. We even asked others if they were going to get off the bus, but most were really looking forward to Windsor Castle. We knew the tour was going to happen, but it was either going to be way late to London, or cut short. In the email I received, they specifically stated, "As the tour still went ahead (and drop off times were only slightly delayed) we unfortunately cannot provide a refund." This is proof that the tour was cut short. I ended up calling Trip Advisor, and was issued a full refund ($540.70).

We took this tour as return to London from our cruise. It was great to see some great sights on the way. Lorraine the tour guide was fantastic and very knowledgeable, Lamar the driver went above and beyond to get us to our hotel in London. The stop at Salisbury cathedral, was a quick photo opportunity, the stop at Stonehenge was longer and allowed us time to walk around and get great photos and have a coffee/lunch break. The walk through Windsor was interesting and we will go back to see more another time.

Our bus driver had a medical emergency before we left the cruise terminal so there was a bit of rearranging that happened at the start of our tour. We ended up hopping on with another tour heading to Stonehenge while a replacement driver came in from London and picked up our tour bus and met us at Stonehenge. Because of this we didn't get to experience Salisbury as part of our tour. The tour ended up only being Stonehenge and Windsor Castle. Both were excellent and we had ample time at both locations to tour, shop, and eat if we wanted to. The tour company was able to drop me off in Central London at my Hotel via a smaller van which was great. I would recommend this tour to anyone coming off a cruise. My experience was a bit different than originally promised because of the medical emergency but it was still a wonderful experience.

Our driver got sick and we had to wait for the tour company to provide a driver which would need to come from London and would take 1.5 hours delay. Luckily there was another bus with a tour to Stonehenge that had available seats, and this bus took us to Stonehenge giving the company time to get a driver to meet us at Stonehenge. This tour was supposed to give us time at the Salisbury cathedral, and this was skipped. The tour guide was terrible. He did not provide much information. Very disappointed on this tour. I feel that it was not worth the cost.

Our tour was great. Finding the guide, Mikel, outside of the port was super easy. Both him and the driver were funny, helpful and friendly. The ride was comfortable and easy. We had about two hours at each stop. Mikel walked us to each location and gave us detailed instructions on where to meet back up. We were then dropped off directly in front of our hotel in London. We thought the value for price was excellent and would suggest this tour to anyone wanting to do some site-seeing on their way back to London.

Wonderful day! Picked up at disembarkation of our cruise. Enjoyed trip to Salisbury, Stonehenge and Windsor! Wonderful experiences even in the rain! Wonderful guide, Jane, from International Friends. Knowledgeable, interesting and entertaining. Also very kind- insisted I use her umbrella which was very generous. At the end of the lovely day we were delivered directly to our hotel! Fabulous!

Overall, a great tour! Marek was an awesome tour guide. All new places for everyone in our group to see! Tip for anyone looking at being dropped off at their hotel: Be aware you may have to take a feeder type van/vehicle as the tour bus does not fit down London’s side streets. Though it was a Thursday afternoon, this part of the tour took over two hours to get from Windsor Castle to our hotel near Tower Bridge.

Tour guide and driver were outstanding. They met us on time at the cruise debarkation point as scheduled. We had plenty of visitation time at all 3 stops. So great to see. Then we were dropped off at our hotel in London as was planned. We'll worth it.

This was the only tour I found that allowed us to see Stonehenge AND Windsor Castle (+ Salisbury) post-cruise & having them drop us right off at our hotel in London was FABULOUS! We loved being able to see these places! It was organized really well, considering they were picking up from multiple ships & dropping off at several locations! Instead of making everyone go to all the drop-off spots, after Windsor they put the hotel goers into smaller vans, so it took a lot less time to drop everyone off. The guide & driver were great. Knowledgable, fun & good-humored! Great job of adjusting time at each stop to maximize the time. They really made the day a highlight of out trip! Highly recommend this post-cruise trip! It included much more & cost less than what NCL offered. Not having to schlep our luggage or make additional accommodations to get to our hotel after this excursion was a HUGE benefit!! Thank you for a great "1st day in London"! 🤩 =:)
