Via Ferrata is a fun mix of hiking and climbing for non-climbers! Via Ferrata, is a vertical adventure, assisted by metal rungs, bridges, and a safety cable. Join an exciting and unique climbing experience. With awe-inspiring views of ocean fjords and mountain peaks, this is sure to be an adventure you won’t forget! This one-hour tour is suitable for adults and families with children ages 8 and up, and is a fully guided tour. Don't miss this on your trip to Squamish!

Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness

Dress according to weather conditions, it can be a little cooler at the top of the gondola that at the base.

What to bring: Hiking boots or running shoes (no sandals), sunscreen, sunglasses, hat, backpack, water, snacks, all weather jacket, light gloves.

Bring a camera with a leash to capture the adventure

What To Expect

On this 1-1.5 hour Squamish Via Ferrata adventure, you easily grab and step on ladder-like rungs, cross exhilarating suspension bridges, and take in the scenic beauty of ocean fjords and snowy peaks all while safely attached to the rock with fixed cables. This is a fun and memorable experience suitable for ages 8 and up (younger children may join on private tours only). Sea to Sky Gondola tickets are not included in the price.

Great experience getting out on the rock in a safe but fun environment. Not too challenging for an experienced climber, but we had a few in the group who were new and the guide Emile was very patient and encouraging. We had excellent weather with amazing views, and the whole adventure was most enjoyable.

Fantastic experience. Meet up was easy and it was really special taking the gondola up first. Much more mentally challenging than physically challenging. Faced my fears and felt safe and supported the whole time!

This has been an adventure packed vacation but the standout experience goes to the via ferrata tour in Squamish. Expertly led by our instructor, Amile, we climbed the rock faces below the Sea to Sky Experience. This two hour excursion was superb, I felt totally safe as you are clipped on to the wire rope on all the climbing sections. As a novice this was a great way to get a taste of rock climbing, the metal step irons allows you to navigate the ascent without the upper body strength of expert climbers. Amile was super, he made everyone feel confident and safe. A truly lovely guy.

What an amazing adventure! Our guide Emile quickly put any fears to rest and clearly explained safety instructions. He was very knowledgeable about the area and climbing and was encouraging to us all. He kindly took photos for us to save us dropping our cameras! Highly recommend this for a family adventure. Our kids were 13&15.

What an amazing adventure. I took my grandson. Great climb and I must say not an easy one but Megan pushed me on. So glad we went! So proud I finished and my grandson loved it. Highly recommend this tour. Megan our tour guide was amazing and so patient.

Victor was an awesome guide and provided all the instruction and confidence needed for us and our 10yo daughter to climb the steep rock faces with stunning views! It is a series of ladder rungs that are climbed while harnessed in. Daughter raved about the experience for hours after. One of the best things we did in Vancouver!
