At the start of our trip, we were very pleasantly surprised that we had a guide on our own, because - as we later found out - several guests had booked this date and the description stated that a maximum of 8 people per travel group would be possible. So we were alone and as flexible as possible. We were very happy with our guide Janaka, he was very friendly and accommodating (language: English). Janaka told us a lot about the country, the culture and the activities. We really liked the choice of hotels. On the negative side, however, we have to say that before booking it was not really clear which activities/entrance fees were NOT included in the price (we assumed that all services that were not listed in the program with the note "optional" were included). You must therefore expect an additional 15-25% surcharge for this. Communication with the tour operator before the trip took place by email, they always responded relatively quickly, but our questions were sometimes only answered incompletely. We traveled as a couple, we really enjoyed the trip and can recommend it. A little tip: the optional hot air balloon ride was a dream

A well rounded tour, takes in a lot of the great things to see and do. The weather wasn’t the best some days and our guide Buddhika was fantastic with reorganising and rescheduling things so we still got to do the most things possible. Our driver Chandana was fantastic too. I’d recommend getting the accommodation upgrades if you can afford to do so.

We had a fantastic family holiday (6 pax) with BH Lanka Tours. A big thanks to our wonderful guide (Buddhika) and Driver (Chandana) who expertly looked after us the entire time from the point of arrival (beaming smiles at the airport) to our last drop off. Everything was taken care of so we could just relax, which is a big benefit when travelling as a large family. Buddhika was always happy to help with any requests and was always aiming for us to have the best time. We had some challenges with the weather so Buddhika would pro actively adjust things so we could best enjoy them. Buddhika and Chandana provided a personalised, flexible and friendly service. They felt like part of the family during our stay and we were very sad to say goodbye. The tour was great, we found it quite comprehensive in covering a lot of Sri Lanka. The country is so beautiful and the people are very friendly. I wish we had more time. I would highly recommend BH Lanka tours for a holiday in Sri Lanka and would definitely use again.

I got to experience the best of this incredibly diverse and beautiful country thanks to BH Lanka Tours. My guide, Eshan, was very friendly and always ensured I was safe and comfortable. The hotels, in general, were incredible to stay at though some were a little far from town which is fine if you're happy to just hang by the pool in your free time. The tour schedule was well planned, highlighted the best of Sri Lanka and was always enjoyable despite it raining a lot during the tour. Would definitely recommend!

I had not heard a bad word about Sri Lanka in the lead up to this trip, and it did not disappoint. The tour was a very good overview of the country, its culture, food and way of life. In 12 days you better understand and visit some ancient history, you travel through mountains, see wildlife in national parks on safari, relax at the beaches, better understand the impact of a previously colonised country and live the pride of a blended culture. So much to see and the length of this tour covers it all with enough tie for see and experience it all. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and our driver Udara got us to the end safely. If ever you've seen the driving in Sri Lanka, you know that is a feat in itself! I would have liked a little more history about things as we went along, but Udara is a driver, not a tour guide. If you want a very guided experience, then maybe a tour company would better suit, rather than drivers who are limited with their tour guiding opportunities. What was not advised to us prior to the start of the tour was that Sri Lanka has a tipping culture. Pretty much every person that helps you on the activities needs to be tipped. We did not know and did not budget for this. It's not as much as the USA but still, it is an expense that adds up after a while. The company was quite slow to respond to emails and correspondance which was frustrating in the lead up but we got all our documentation and information in the end. We travelled in December. There had been unseasonal rain for a couple of months before we arrived which continued during our trip - but it did not affect our itinerary or any inclusions. I believe this was not normal. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and would recommend Sri Lanka to anyone.

Sri lanka was a goldmine of stunning scenery and amazing experiences, and bh lanka a wonderful company to deal with, adapting to our every wish on the tour. Our driver in particular - Dana, could not do enough for us, and made sure we had the best possible experience at each activity/tourist attraction. I would, with all confidence, book this company (and have this driver!) again.

Sri Lanka is an amazingly beautiful country & the people are even more amazing. Friendly, gracious, funny, polite. Ravi my driver was outstanding. I’m not sure I would have booked the trip if I’d known I would be alone. Part of the reason for me traveling solo is to meet new people. Imagine my surprise no one else was with me. You do everything either alone or with the guide/driver. Also, you end up paying for a lot of the extra activities. I would have hoped more activities were included. Lastly, if you are an animal lover such as myself, it is heartbreaking to see all the stray dogs everywhere.

We booked this 12d cultural tour with BH Lanka, the team there were brilliant in getting our trip planned and organised. We were delighted to have Nimantha as our guide. Throughout the trip Nimantha was extremely knowledgeable and supportive, friendly, and nothing was too much trouble. The tour was excellent, more than we could have hoped for, with experiences ranging from safaris to river cruise to cooking demonstration and visits to temples and cultural highlights, so many beautiful places and such a range of climates from mountain to beach. Nimantha is a true professional and we highly recommend him and BH Lanka tours for your visit!!

We just loved the trip from start to finish. Every day was a new and exciting experience. The first five days are very busy with some long days and you need to be fairly fit. From then on it’s a less hectic pace. There is just so much to see and do in this beautiful country. We cannot speak highly enough of our guide Nishantha, he is a delightful man and an excellent guide. His passion and pride in his country was evident at every place we went.. Nish could not do enough for us and his knowledge about his country was amazing. Do yourself a favour, visit this beautiful country, go with BH Lanka and ask for Nish. We have had a great time and will take away some special memories.
