Whilst Pidurangala appears larger than Sigiriya; its upper surface is steeply sloped and is of solid rock. For this reason, it was not suitable for large-scale building activity. • A perfect trip with Dhanuka Prasad 🙏🏻

    Kucukoks,,Dec 24, 2025

    - Review from Tripadvisor

    5.00

I visited villages with Dhanuka, and he shared deep insights into local life, history, and nature. He took me to places at exactly the right time for the best views, helped me avoid crowds, and guided me to perfect moments for photos. He constantly adapted our plans to the weather and timing, making sure every visit was optimized. He showed me temples at the best hours, helped with shortcuts, and introduced me to hidden gems no casual tourist would ever find. Thanks to him, I had the authentic Buddhist temple experience I was looking for. He also found me the best jeep for safari and the best massage therapy experience. He explained which vendors were fair and which were overpriced, helping me shop smarter and avoid tourist traps. In an almost impossible situation, he even managed to find me train tickets and caught the train with his exceptional driving skills. He was incredibly kind and became an amazing companion for my solo trip. I’m truly grateful our paths crossed. 100% recommended.

Thanks for the experience from our amazing tour guide Dhanuka in the beautiful island of Sri Lanka. He was so attentive to both my wife and my needs. He ensured that we were fully aware of the days events, transfer times, etc The hotels were authentic and the tours truly delivered on the experience for us. At every stage we could not fault the processes in place and comforts we were treated to. We would recommend this tour which can be as flexible or as full on as you like. Enjoy

After our incredible experience last year, choosing HELLOWTRAVEL again was an easy decision - and once more, they exceeded all expectations! Our six-day tour through Sri Lanka’s Central Province was nothing short of extraordinary, filled with awe-inspiring cultural landmarks, stunning landscapes, and exclusive experiences that we would never have discovered on our own. Our guide was truly exceptional - a passionate expert with an unmatched depth of knowledge about Sri Lanka’s history and culture. His enthusiasm, dedication, and remarkable empathy made every moment of the journey special. He not only answered every question with insight but also went above and beyond to ensure we had the best possible experience. Thanks to him, we explored hidden gems far from the usual tourist routes, places we would never have found without his expertise. HELLOWTRAVEL also impressed us with their impeccable choice of accommodations. Each stay was comfortable, authentic, and thoughtfully selected to enhance our experience - everything was just perfect. At the end of the tour, it was extremely difficult to say goodbye again. The hospitality we received could not have been better. If we could give more than five stars, we absolutely would! This trip went far beyond what we had hoped for, and one thing is certain: we will be back in Sri Lanka to uncover even more of its wonders - with HELLOWTRAVEL by our side once again. A heartfelt thank you for an unforgettable adventure!

  • Fabulous trip touring Sri Lanka with a friendly, knowledgeable guide

    Nomad816552,,Jan 9, 2024

    - Review from Tripadvisor

We have spent 14 nights and 15 days travelling Sri Lanka following our engagement in Dubai for NYE. We were warmly greeted at the airport by our guide Dankuka, who stayed with us for the majority of our time. Danuka has been the best guide we could have possibly asked for and without him we certainly would have had a different experience! We explored many places including the local villages, temples, safaris and enjoyed some local traditions. All of these whilst feeling safe, being provided with the knowledge we need on where is best to eat, what to avoid and anything we could possibly need. Furthermore, Danuka provided a first class service being the liaison with all the different hotels and having each room decorated and with cake for our special occasion. This was very well received and much appreciated. Danuka has been an excellent guide, who has known the answers to all of our questions, gone above and beyond (including getting medicine when it was needed!), made a reservations for us and has been a great companion with an excellent sense of humour to keep us company, look after us and make sure we have the best time possible and see the most of Sri Lanka!! The extra effort, going above and beyond has not been unnoticed. It has certainly been a trip to remember and without Danuka this would have not been the case - so thank you very much!! I would definitely recommend to anyone looking to see the real Sri Lanka and have the expertise and safety blanket of a good quality guide who is also very personable.
