Saint Patrick's Cathedral
Nestled in the heart of Dublin, Ireland’s vibrant capital, St. Patrick’s Cathedral offers a captivating journey through history, spirituality, and Irish culture. As the largest cathedral in Ireland and one of the most iconic landmarks in Dublin, a visit to St. Patrick’s is more than just sightseeing—it’s an immersion into centuries of religious tradition, architectural grandeur, and storytelling that leaves a lasting impression on every traveler. The architecture is a masterpiece of Gothic style, with intricate carvings, soaring arches, and elaborate woodwork. The stone walls are adorned with memorials, plaques, and tombs. One of the most popular attractions inside the cathedral is the tomb of Jonathan Swift, the author of Gulliver’s Travels and a major satirist of the 18th century. Swift served as Dean of St. Patrick’s from 1713 to 1745. Containing Historical and Cultural Riches that include the story of the Door of Reconciliation and much more.
Dublin Castle
Exterior of Dublin Castle is not just a castle—it’s a storybook of Ireland’s complex and layered past. Built in the early 13th century on the site of a Viking settlement, it originally served as a defensive fortification. Over the centuries, it transformed into the seat of English, and later British, rule in Ireland for over 900 years. The castle was the heart of British administration in Ireland until 1922, when it was handed over to the new Irish Free State following the signing of the Anglo-Irish Treaty. Today, it functions as a government complex, a venue for state functions, and a major tourist attraction.
St. Patrick's Cathedral, Dublin is a stunning Gothic church rich in history & architectural beauty.

Excellent tour. Our tour guide was amazing and knew all about the various sites we visited. The tour was very small (just myself and my partner) and it was very nice to have the tour guide to ourselves. Would highly recommend it. Would give it 10 stars.

Booking tours when you have a short stay is the best use of time and energy- Mic (Michael) was an excellent guide through Trinity /Book of Kells /Dublin Castle / and St Patrick’s Cathedral- As an historian Mic gave wonderful facts figures historical context with engaging wink of an eye and kept the group moving - A great way to “get your steps in” (easily 12K+) We had a small group of 7 so it felt like a private personal tour - Highly recommend ! I’m 71 and my son&gf 31 and we thoroughly enjoyed it!!

Mick/Mike/Michael was a fantastic and knowledgeable guide. He led our group around and elightened us with a lot of information. The only complaint was that it got a little long at the end. Our tour started at 10am and we had to leave just prior to the completion of our tour at 2pm because we were extremely hungry and there was no stop for lunch (which we knew, but the tour was scheduled to be done by 1:30). Overall, great experience!

Loved spending the afternoon with our guide Marty. He is so knowledgeable and passionate about Dublin history! We were the only party on the tour that day by coincidence and got to have Marty all to ourselves. Definitely recommend this for tourists who love history!

So much history to take in in few hours. But one thing for sure, this is a very good start for a first time visitor to Dublin IE. I gave only a 4 because, there is so much walking. But Marty Fennel is an excellent tour guide. I am giving him a 5 star. If you have any legs issues, this isn’t for you. Maybe the Trinity College is very good enough! We enjoyed this walking tour. Dublin Castle is closed due to some preparations for the coming EUROPEAN Union event coming up! We just did the exterior as what the tour have mentioned.
