My husband and I did the 10am, 2 hour tour with another individual plus our guide so we were a small group. Keith was our guide and he did a great job, he was enthusiastic about his job and seemed very knowledgeable. We kayaked the mangroves and learned their importance on the ecosystem for the Calypso jellyfish and other water creatures. Then we snorkeled for about an hour seeing sting ray, barracuda, other fish as well as tons of hermit crabs. The rest of staff was friendly and willing to assist us locate a taxi, as once the tour was done, we did not have cell phone service and had to wait about 30 mins. We did not see any sea turtles on this tour however, we experienced a short downpour so I think that maybe had something to do with it. This was economical compared to other activities and I learned a lot. Would recommend this activity for all ages if you can tolerate Kayaking and snorkeling.

Great tour guides who are very knowledgeable. It was an easy set up process, easy to get to and we’re very helpful. It was our first time kayaking and it was a comfortable and enjoyable experience.

Friendly and funny guide. The mangroves were ok. You’re kayaking near St. Thomas’ largest dump and rock quarry. That is your view the entire trip. Snorkeling was decent, not great. The highlight was seeing thousands of hermit crabs on the island piled to together eating.

Kayaking portion of the trip was great fun - calm waters in the lagoon and it was excellent weather for that. The snorkel portion of the trip was a bit of a miss - we didn't see much marine life but that's obviously not on the tour operators. For people who are not strong swimmers, note that you do have to be able to handle significant time floating in the water (life vest is provided). Our guide seemed to have an attitude problem and made several disparaging remarks about our kayaking/swimming skills which were not appreciated. If you're marketing yourself as beginner friendly, then maybe don't mock the beginners? Other than that, its a very good activity at a reasonable price that I'd recommend - hopefully you just have a better guide experience than we did.

Fun experience kayaking through the mangroves with our knowledgeable guide Jezzy. We swam over a manta ray, saw an octopus and got to hold a live Conch!

The St. Thomas Mangrove Lagoon Kayak and Snorkel Tour was one of the highlights of our trip. The kayaking through the calm, scenic mangrove channels was peaceful and beautiful, and our guide was knowledgeable and engaging. The snorkeling portion was just as great, with clear water and plenty of colorful marine life to see. The tour was well organized and eco-focused, making it both fun and educational. Highly recommend this experience for anyone visiting St. Thomas.

This overall experience was enjoyable but not remarkable. We enjoyed the kayaking and information about the mangroves. The snorkeling was underwhelming. Our experience did not live up to the ecstatic reviews we had read. .
