This is a special cycling tour which helps you feel the genuine Kyoto and the local vibes. We will be following cycling routes which were carefully selected by experienced staff at Kyoto's largest bicycle rental company, serving about 30,000 people a year.
Our aim is to raise awareness of the brilliance of riding a bicycle in the beautiful Kyoto. Bicycle rides help us find the hidden beauty of Kyoto that most tourists are likely to overlook and we hope this tour helps you see things you are not able to see when you take public transport like subways, buses, and taxis.

What To Expect
Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine
20 minute's ride from Flagship. Our first stop is one of the must-see places in Kyoto, the popular Fushimi-Inari Shrine, which is best-known for the thousands of Tori Gates. We also make our way to see the hidden beauty of bamboo forests, which the most of the visitors are likely to overlook.
Sanjusangendo Temple
15 minute's ride from Fushimi-Irari Shrine. Next, we will go through Sanjusangendo Temple, which is famous for its 1001 statues of Kannon, the goddess of mercy, displayed inside the temple.

5.00We really enjoyed our morning cycle ride with our guide. She took us along the quieter backstreets en route to our destinations. This was our first time riding in a city in Japan but we felt safe with our guide who went at a good pace for us and checked with us regularly. She also gave us good explanations at each stop and stopped at points of interest on the way. The e-bikes were easy to operate and comfortable to ride. A memorable experience!

5.00We had a fabulous time with Sato! She was so sweet and kind and gave us fantastic food recommendations for after our tour! The ride was well thought out to avoid as much pedestrian traffic as possible and still gave us great views and explanations. The bikes were more traditional style and not too bulky.

5.00This tour was probably the highlight of our 2 week trip to Japan and we could not recommend it more. The weather wasn't ideal (chilly and mostly cloudy) but that did not detract from a wonderful experience. Aki was a fun, knowledgeable, and thoughtful guide (and great personal photographer!). We appreciated getting to some of the more popular stops early on so as to avoid the crowds. The ebikes made navigating a breeze, and made getting around an unfamiliar city less daunting. Highly recommend!!
