On this guided tour, your expert New Yorker will get your reserve-line ferry tickets and ride with you to Liberty Island and afterward, if you select our Comprehensive Tour, to Ellis Island for a tour of the landmarks around the island, such as the wall of honour. An audio guide is included to help. You’ll also have time to visit the Statue of Liberty Museum as your guide prepares you for what you’ll see inside.

10 out of 10! Where do I even begin to express my gratitude for Sean from Ireland! What an incredible human being who truly touched our lives during our Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island tour. From the moment we arrived, Sean was welcoming, engaging, and made sure everyone was comfortable and accounted for. He even prepared us for what was ahead, sharing which side of the boat offered the best views as we sailed to the island. We proudly became known as Team Canada! Sean’s storytelling brought history to life. His theatrical explanations transported us back in time as he described the creation of the Statue of Liberty and the moving stories behind Ellis Island. With his photography background, he had such a unique way of highlighting the beauty in Liberty’s design, her intricate details, and the breathtaking landscape around her. Sean also made sure to capture memories for everyone, taking photos of each group in front of the Statue of Liberty. When I asked if he’d mind taking a family photo with the Manhattan skyline behind us, he was more than happy to oblige. His subtle sarcasm and humor added the perfect touch throughout the day—we enjoyed every single moment with him! Thank you, Sean, for making history come alive and for making it so much fun! We highly recommend Sean, and if you’re lucky enough to request him, you absolutely won’t be disappointed!

Out tour guide Ken did a great job on a cold and windy day! He was very knowledgeable about the local history and shared many stories that he knew through his own research into the area and his ancestors who immigrated through Ellis Island. It was a great value, as there was literally never any moment where he wasn't sharing something of interest!

We learned a ton about the statue of liberty- the history, the design, the process. At the same time, Cecilia made it a very fun excursion.
