Lovely relaxing trip through the Moors and northern England. Whitby is a beautiful seaside town that definitely should be visited. Our tour group was very small which was wonderful!! The guide, Pete, was very knowledgeable. We enjoyed the day and it was a nice break to go out into the country.

  • Steam trains, Vales and Dales with some added seaside...a brilliant day out!

Wonderful tour. Chris the tour guide knows so much about the area and the place names and he makes it so entertaining and funny. The groups are never anymore than 7 people in the tour group, ours had 6, so you feel like you have full opportunity to ask questions and you get to know the other people during the day together! The steam train was the highlight for us. We sat on the very back carriage and went to the back doors where you can lean out to take pictures of the steam carriage going round corners. We had fish and chips at Abbey Wharf in Whitby which was delicious and took a walk out the pier. All the small villages are picture perfect and the guide will make extra stops if there is anything you particularly want to stop at for pictures! All in all I highly recommend and it's well worth the money, Google doesn't know half of what Chris does about this area!

I have always had great experiences with Viator and today was even better. We were scheduled to go to the North York Moors but there have been wild fires spreading there for the last 2 weeks. We received several emails about how Viator wouldn't place us in danger and several options were provided should travel through the Moors not work out. We discussed the options once everyone on our tour (7 people max, as promised) was together. Ultimately, there was a slight change to our train but everything else went on as planned. We felt safe and had a great time.

  • Easy to organise....

This trip was worth every penny. Picked up from our hotel driven across the North York Moors to Whitby. There were several stops along the way and the flexibility to make additional if wanted . The information that we were given was well presented and interesting, the tour guide/driver has a real passion for the area. We spent a couple of hours in Whitby and then part of the return journey was by Steam Train. Thoroughly enjoyed the day!

  • A nice fun day tour

Chris was a great guide. He picked us up at our airbnb, and we had a very nice tour. He knew a lot to tell and could answer all questions. The van is comfortable and drives well. The tour itself was beautiful. We got a good look at the Moors. Had nice places where we stopped for a while. It was nice that we had some longer time in Witby, very nice place to visit. The highlight was the train station, which our daughters (Harry Potter fans) had been looking forward to. The steam train was fun to do. On the way back it was a bit quieter in the van, everyone was a bit tired of the heat. It was a fun day!
