Driver 10/10 Guide at Castle 10/10 Boat tour 7/10 Our driver shared his abundant knowledge of Scotland's history, music and culture, food, myths, politics., etc. Also displayed patience when needed and overall kindness to all guests. Genuine conversationalist. The guide at Stirling was also exceptional. His wealth of knowledge in the history surrounding the castle was presented in pleasant way that drew you in and wanting more. And he delivered. They also had folks dressed in medieval costumes that shared details specific to their roles in the castle. Well done. Lunch in Highlands was tasty alongside a Scottish brewed lager. The boat ride was a nice change of pace. A few fun facts but otherwise just a boat ride with beautiful scenery.

My wife and I decided to do this just to see more of the country side on our trip. Our tour guide's name was Cameron (old Cameron he told me to specify). Cameron drove us around giving excellent stories, history, fun facts, and personal experiences to go along with things we drove past. That might sound boring to some, but I tell ya, listening to Cameron is anything but boring! He had us laughing and smiling, the 9 hour trip went by like a breeze! The day trip gave us two hours in the sterling castle which was more than enough. Cameron took us to a look out point off the beat and path which was gorgeous to see the view of the area (he even gave us some lessons on the local plants). We stopped in a little town for lunch and he gave use an hour and a half to explore the local restaurants along with his personal recommendations. The tour of Loch Lommond was absolutely breath taking as well. There is no part of this trip that is to be slept on, it's all very fascinating. Cameron also weaved in tracks from his very well curiated playlist of thematic Scottish music that range from traditional bagpipes, to contemporary pipe bands, to classic Scottish folk music, to modern Scottish artists, and with each track he had a story to go along. I can't praise Cameron enough. The moment we started driving we knew we were in for a treat. He was absolutely the best host we could ask for.

Good trip for short time in Glasgow to see Stirling castle, Loch Lomand, scenic countryside and villages. Meeting place was a bit confusing, note the bus stall designations to meet there and not in the general station area. We had just under 2 hours in the castle, we saw pretty much everything we wanted to see but had to hustle. They have some free guides tours but that is not enough time to follow the group. We stopped in Colander for lunch which was a really nice experience and then some time with Hamish. The Loch boat tour was nice, be sure to bring a windbreaker, weather there is rain in the forecast or not. Jeff C did a really nice job keeping us entertained and learning with some of the historical information. He was also good about tailoring the route and things to see to match the tour group interest. Overall this was well worth it to us as we were able to experience a lot in the area in a one day trip.

Lots of opportunity to explore Stirling Castle and the cruise of Lock Lomond was nice. Ally P was knowledgeable about history and current actors & musicians. The only thing was that sometimes the mic was not near his mouth so harder to hear. We were very lucky to be at Stirling Castle to see the Highlanders in their full dress marching to the bagpipe strains. Loved the military museum as well as the rest of the castle. Driving through the Trossachs was a treat despite the winding roads. Thank you!
