5.00This is the second time we have done this tour. We have done it when we have out of town guests. During this tour, my family from Germany was visiting. Big Tom did a great job talking about the history of FW and the stockyards as well as accommodating a couple of special requests we had. We will definitely do this tour again with any other out of town guests we might have. Big Tom was AWESOME!

5.00We did the Stockyards History Tour Fort Worth Pub Crawl in late March, and it was one of the highlights of our time in Fort Worth. The tour takes you through four historic saloons in the Stockyards, but what really made it stand out was our guide, Big Tom. Tom has an incredible depth of knowledge about the area and brought the history to life in a way that was engaging and easy to follow. He mixed in humor at just the right moments, which kept things fun without taking away from the stories. We were the only family on the tour that day and had a more personalized experience as a result. The tour was absolutely worth the price. Note that drinks aren’t included, but that didn’t take away from the experience at all. The focus on the history and atmosphere of each stop made it feel more meaningful than just a typical bar crawl. And although you are walking, the distance covered is minimal. Even after the tour officially ended, Tom stuck around to chat with us and share additional recommendations for things to do in the area. That extra time and attention really says a lot. We’d definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Fort Worth—whether you’re interested in history, looking for something a little different to do, or just want a great introduction to the Stockyards.

5.00Big Tom was an amazing historian of the stockyards and the history of Texas. Got to try some cool IPA’s, beers and spirits along the way. Took us to many local areas and told us some funny stories about many things here in Texas.
