The guide was an absolute delight. The trip was taken by my mom and her friends and they were well looked after. They raved about the warmth of the guide. 10/10 would recommend.

Abdullah and Omar gave us a good tour from foradhani gardens to the outsides of the old fort and house of wonders explaining the history of the island and its people, seeing the market and giving us tips on places to eat. We saw the slavery museum fr the outside and had quite a good summary (we visited later), and saw the different styles of architecture and doors and what they meant. Zanzibar coffee house had a nice view - we had a coffee there and luzmann gave good Swahili food.

Ahmad is a fantastic guide who truly knows his stuff. His knowledge of Zanzibar history, art and culture is amazing. He takes you through hundreds of years of African history, from sultans to slavery to spices and everything in between. He's quick with dates and historical events, adding context and color to each story. His passion for storytelling shines through, and there's no question he can't answer. Book a tour with him while you're in town. You won't regret it.

Great guy Ahmad. We could tell Ahmad had a deep passion for the architecture and history involving Zanzibar. Every question we asked, we got a quick and deep response! Extra bonus is his flexibility when we were a bit late. Sorry Ahmad.
