Stonehenge
Step back in time 5,000 years as we visit the best-known prehistoric monument in Europe. Take a step inside the reconstructed Neolithic houses, furnished with replica axes, pottery and other artefacts, and listen as our guide brings the fascinating history of Stonehenge to life. Who built Stonehenge? Why was it built? Discover the answer to these questions and learn how it was constructed using rudimental tools and stone from quarries hundreds of miles away. In the world-class exhibition centre, you’ll get the chance to come face-to-face with a 5,500-year-old man and over 250 ancient objects.
Bath
Our last stop will be the historic city of Bath, originally built as a place of well-being and relaxation by the Romans over 2,000 years ago. Home to the country’s only natural thermal hot springs, Bath is a delightful city where the ancient world is intertwined with threads of medieval and more recent Georgian history. Our panoramic drive through Bath provides an excellent introduction to the major sights of this beautiful city, including Pulteney Bridge, The Assembly Rooms and The Royal Crescent. Afterwards, the time is yours to explore this beautiful city at your own pace. Wander its cobbled streets and explore the markets, or choose to visit the famous Roman Baths* and learn all about their history.

Mel was absolutely fantastic. He’s depth of knowledge brought every stop to life, and his passion for the history and culture of the area made the experience truly memorable. He organized the tour with care, answered every question with ease, and kept the entire group engaged from start to finish. I would highly recommend Mel and Rant to anyone looking for a well-informed, enthusiastic, and genuinely outstanding guide.

This was a wonderful day trip. We were given great instructions to the coach station and things went just as described. Our first stop was Stonehenge and we enjoyed the visit. Next was Bath and we really loved the city. Mel was a great tour guide. He made the history of the country and the monarchy interesting. He had many points of interest that he brought to our attention. He also added a few personal stories (but not too many) of growing up locally. Overall this was a great trip, a fun way to spend a day, and we would highly recommend. Rad was a good driver and very kind to all of us.

We had a wonderful trip with Evan Evans Tours, thanks especially to our lovely guide, Shella, whose explanations were clear and engaging. We truly enjoyed experiencing the astonishing Stone Age site and the impressive Roman architecture of the Roman Baths.

I had a great time! We had plenty of time at both sites, and our guide Sheila was excellent. This was the perfect time of year to go - barely any crowds at Stonehenge on a beautifully clear day, and Bath’s Christmas market was busy but not overly so.
