Spend more time exploring 2 of the most remarkable places in England on this day trip from London: Windsor including Windsor Castle tickets, and Stonehenge including entrance. With this tour you will have ample time to spend at each location and have lunch. At Stonehenge there's a café to buy a sandwich and drinks and at Windsor there are plenty of restaurants and cafes to buy food.
We start from London and head to the ancient and mysterious Stonehenge, where entrance is included. This is possibly the UK’s most well-known historical monument and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Next, we visit Windsor, and this comes with Windsor Castle tickets. Here you will wander through the Grand State Apartments of a working castle and see where Heads of State & monarchs still meet.

I thoroughly enjoyed this experience. Our tour operator and driver were both wonderful! Everything went exactly as expected without any hiccups. We met our tour group as expected across from the Earls Court rail station in London. It was a small group of approximately 10 people. The motor coach was comfortable and clean. We drive directly to Stonehenge and was given about two hours to explore the area on our own. Our tour guide gave us information about the site and history leading up to our arrival, to prepare us. We then drove to Windsor. Again, our tour guide gave us details leading up to our arrival and walked us up to where we entered the castle grounds. I am looking forward to future tours with this operator, Anderson Tours!

Tour company was good, bus broke down but not much they can do about that. This left us with less time at Windsor Castle but it wasn't that they shorted us time, we still had the same amount of time. They pushed the schedule which then left us less time at Windsor Castle because of opening hours, so we spent the extra time in the town of Windsor.

As an experienced traveler, I was disappointed with this experience. We received an email the previous evening to download an audio app and to bring our headphones for an audio guide to Stonehenge. JJ was our tour guide. The bus was small and very crowded. We were not given very clear directions about navigating Stonehenge, and we were rushed. It was disorganized. He left us on the bus to get the tickets and walked back to the bus to distribute them. We should have walked with him. We lost a lot of time waiting, and we needed to use restrooms. When we were traveling to Stonehenge, we had to stop twice because of a mechanical issue-buzzing. No explanation was given about the buzzing. After the second stop-the buzzing stopped. When we arrived at Windsor, we were hastily given our tickets and told when to be back at the bus-there were no audio guides offered or suggested. I highly suggest audio-guides provided on a self-guided tour. We visited before, and that was helpful for our navigation of Windsor Castle. We were also rushed to complete this tour. A positive, we had three different choices to be dropped off at the end of the tour.

Really not sure about Anderson tours. We spoke with them by email and tried to figure out where the best meeting space would be for our family to go on the 8 hour tour. They decided the best place was Victoria pick up so we arrived 15 min ahead of the time given to us to find out 30 min later they forgot to stop at that location to pick us up. We talked to one of their other tour operators and he called them to find out they did not know to stop. Well after some conversations this other tour operator ran us over to another stop to join our tour. They really need to communicate from the office to the tour operators. We finally left for our two hour journey to Stonehenge and our bus temperature was 29.4 degrees Celsius and we felt like we might pass out or get sick. I mentioned to our guide and she states. Oh it did not feel that warm where I was sitting but yet the bus every min had a digital display that showed the time of day and the temp on the bus. So funny. Every min we were reminded how damn got it was on the bus. So once we complained they adjusted it for the next 1.5 hour trip and now it was 13.5 degrees and we were shivering. How can you not just simply regulate it at an average temp. When we stopped at a rest stop to grab a coffee and snacks 1 hour into the trip we were given 15 min to walk to the place order and be back on the bus. Unfortunately subway was backed up and held my daughter up about 7-10 min past the allotted time and our tour guide says I guess we will have to leave them here. Who says that to a father with his 15 year old daughter that is already panicked for being late. I will say that the two locations we did attend Stonehenge and Windsor castle were amazing and really enjoyed the two different experiences. Just might think about another tour company than Anderson tours.

This was a great trip, allowing us plenty of time to see Stonehenge and Windsor. We even had enough time for a few pints in town before we had to head back. The only word of caution is that it was much colder in Stonehenge and Windsor than in London, so we should have also taken some warmer clothes.
