Stonehenge
Stonehenge Over 5,000 years of history is waiting to be discovered by us at the prehistoric site at Stonehenge. Built on the windswept Salisbury Plain by our Neolithic ancestors, Stonehenge is a site that has courted controversy and stirred opinion for hundreds of years. Explore over 250 ancient objects on display at the world-class visitor centre. Discover the tools and everyday objects of Neolithic life, and come face-to-face with a 5,500-year-old man and ancient human remains. Decipher the mystery of Stonehenge using an interactive audio guide exclusive to Evan Evans. Learn who built it and why, as well as how it was constructed using rudimentary equipment made of wood and stone.
Windsor Castle
Windsor Castle (optional entry) is the ancestral home of the British monarchy and the largest occupied castle in the world. As you walk around the impressive grounds, it is almost hard to believe that successive kings and queens have been living here for over 900 years. You'll see why this beautiful castle was a favoured weekend residence of Queen Elizabeth II. Inside the State Apartments, you will have the chance to explore the same rooms used today by The King and members of the Royal Family. The rooms here were intended to rival the Palace of Versailles in France, and paintings by renowned artists such as Rembrandt adorn the walls. Guests choosing the option to enter the Castle can also see St George's Chapel, the scene of some of the most famous royal weddings of recent times including The Duke & Duchess of Sussex and HRH Princess Eugenie & Mr Jack Brooksbank. Within the Chapel are the tombs of 11 monarchs, including Queen Elizabeth II, George VI, Henry VIII and Charles I.

It was well organized, bus was air conditioned but Stonehenge buses were not. Had enough time to go at your pace. You could spend time in castle with a great audio tour or just poke around town, grab some lunch and take a walk over to the Thames river for different view. Nice to get away from tourist trap gift shops. Long day but nice to get different perspective from downtown London!

Phenomenal tour to Windsor and Stonehenge! Both locations were absolutely amazing and even more impressive in person. From the history and beauty of Windsor to the surreal experience of seeing Stonehenge up close, it was truly a memorable day. The tour was extremely well organized and maximized our time at every stop while still allowing flexibility to explore on our own. Robert was an incredibly knowledgeable and engaging guide. You could tell how passionate he is about the history and stories behind each place. He also gave fantastic recommendations during the self-explore portions, which made the experience even better. A huge thank you as well to Amarit, who kept us safe navigating busy roads and crowded coach lots with ease. His driving made the day smooth and stress-free. Highly recommend this tour and this team!

Mel made the bus rides to each location (Stonehedge and Windsor) very enjoyable and informative! Wonderful gentlemen and even made sure everyone knew how to get to their next destination after the tour ended. The tour was a good length of time. Decent amount of bus time but 2 hrs at Stonehedge and 3 hrs at Windsor was a good amount of time to cover the majority of each stop.

We had an excellent experience on our Evans tour to Stonehenge and Windsor Castle, and our guide Mel was a huge reason why. With 42 years of experience, it absolutely showed. He was entertaining, personable, organized, and made the entire day enjoyable from start to finish. Mel provided all of the historical information and commentary while we were on the bus, which actually worked really well because it allowed us to fully enjoy and explore the sites on our own once we arrived. His stories, humor, and personal experiences kept everyone engaged during the drive and gave the tour a very relaxed and authentic feel. You could tell this wasn’t just a script for him — after decades of doing this, he has a natural style that makes the trip both informative and fun. Stonehenge and Windsor Castle were incredible to visit, and Mel’s personality and experience really elevated the overall experience. Highly recommend this tour, especially if you’re lucky enough to get Mel as your guide. Five stars.
