Stonehenge
Stonehenge Over 5,000 years of history is waiting to be discovered by us at the prehistoric site at Stonehenge. Built on the windswept Salisbury Plain by our Neolithic ancestors, Stonehenge is a site that has courted controversy and stirred opinion for hundreds of years. Explore over 250 ancient objects on display at the world-class visitor centre. Discover the tools and everyday objects of Neolithic life, and come face-to-face with a 5,500-year-old man and ancient human remains. Decipher the mystery of Stonehenge using an interactive audio guide exclusive to Evan Evans. Learn who built it and why, as well as how it was constructed using rudimentary equipment made of wood and stone.
Windsor Castle
Windsor Castle (optional entry) is the ancestral home of the British monarchy and the largest occupied castle in the world. As you walk around the impressive grounds, it is almost hard to believe that successive kings and queens have been living here for over 900 years. You'll see why this beautiful castle was a favoured weekend residence of Queen Elizabeth II. Inside the State Apartments, you will have the chance to explore the same rooms used today by The King and members of the Royal Family. The rooms here were intended to rival the Palace of Versailles in France, and paintings by renowned artists such as Rembrandt adorn the walls. Guests choosing the option to enter the Castle can also see St George's Chapel, the scene of some of the most famous royal weddings of recent times including The Duke & Duchess of Sussex and HRH Princess Eugenie & Mr Jack Brooksbank. Within the Chapel are the tombs of 11 monarchs, including Queen Elizabeth II, George VI, Henry VIII and Charles I.

We had an excellent experience guided by the gentleman, Mel, who was a true professional and clearly passionate about his work. We were especially impressed by his sense of humor, his willingness to share personal experiences, and even his openness in expressing his political views. Altogether, he represented what we felt was a typical, warm, and genuine British character.

Provided headsets to hear the guide’s instructions did not work. Guide said there were no extra headsets. We could not hear her instructions as to where to go, so we got separated from the group. We had to walk the tour on our own without the tour guide. We found there were lifts and special arrangements for slow walkers which the guide never mentioned. Suggest that guides on future trips give information before setting out on what to do if you get separated from the group, and mention the special accommodations the Castle offers for slow walkers.

Nice tour, but you need to bring snacks. Our tour guide, Angela, was very pleasant and knowledgeable. The driver was good too. Our tour was on May 28, 2026.

Robert, our tour guide and Arthur, our driver were both outstanding! Robert is introduced Stonehenge so well that when we got there it all made sense. He was quite knowledgeable. He also introduced us to Windsor castle equally as well. He was more interesting than the audio guide we used. Too bad he could not have stayed with us. His recommendation for a bite to eat was right on. We enjoyed it. Arthur got us safe and sound to both places. It was an outstanding day spent touring England.

This was a very well balanced tour. It did not feel rushed. Robert was very knowledgeable and entertaining with the history he chose to share. Our driver, Arthur, was top notch. It was a very relaxing ride both ways despite traffic conditions. During the trip, Robert shared relevant facts for our destination as well as other funny anecdotes. Can’t recommend this tour enough, and if you do request Robert.

Nice day. Enough time at both Stonehenge And Windsor. Guide provided information all along the route on a variety of subjects . Once at Windsor Castle the guide leaves you. You might want to rent an audio guide inside the gate.
