What To Expect
Windsor Castle
Windsor Castle is the oldest and largest inhabited castle in the world. It has been the family home of British kings and queens for almost 1,000 years and is today one of the official residences of His Majesty The King. Occupying over 10.5 hectares, the Castle offers a varied day out for visitors, including a visit to the magnificent State Apartments and St George's Chapel. The Castle's State Apartments are furnished with some of the finest works from the Royal Collection, reflecting the changing tastes of the Castle's royal occupants, particularly those of Charles II and George IV. Many of the works of art are still in the historic settings for which they were first collected or commissioned by the kings and queens who have lived at Windsor. Visitors can take a self-guided tour of the Castle with a free multimedia tour. From October to March, visitors can also walk through the sumptuous Semi-State Apartments, which served as the private rooms of George IV in the 19th century.
St. George's Chapel
St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle in England, is a chapel designed in the high-medieval Gothic style. It is both a Royal Peculiar, a church under the direct jurisdiction of the monarch, and the Chapel of the Order of the Garter. Seating approximately 800,it is located in the Lower Ward of the castle.

5.00Aaron was a great tour guide. He provided interesting details along the way (including about building architecture that we passed by) and at each of the stops that we went to. He was clear about how much time we had at each place and when to get back to the bus. The facts that he shared were quite interesting. Our bus driver was also excellent. It would have been better to have more time to spend at Windsor Castle (we didn't get to see everything given how much time we had until we had to get to the next stop) so for the tour organizers I would recommend more time at Windsor and less time at Bath (or adding another 30 min to the total time to allow for more time at Windsor Castle).

2.00Our tour guide was very friendly. The package I purchased evidently didn't include entrance into Windsor Castle (although my paperwork said it did). Then our bus broke down at Stonehenge, leaving us in 90° weather waiting for 3 hours. The replacement bus they sent didn't have air conditioning - meaning a nearly 3 hour sweaty bus ride home and we missed the city Bath entirely.

3.00Our driver, Ahmed, did a great job getting us to the sites. Our tour guide, Robert, was very knowledgeable. We did get to see Windsor Castle, Stonehenge and Bath but only for about an hour each and we felt rushed the whole time. This is an 11-12 hour excursion with probably 7-8 hours either riding in the bus (50 passenger) or waiting in line. It would have been nice to have some cold water available. Definitely recommend bringing extra with you along with snacks. Overall, I’m glad we got to see the 3 sites, but it was not what we expected and wasn’t that enjoyable. It felt more like work just to rush through everything and really not get to take it all in. My recommendation is to maybe visit Windsor Castle one day and then maybe do Stonehenge and Bath another day. Visiting all 3 in one day is exhausting and we consider ourself in really good physical shape. Lesson learned for sure for next time we visit the London area.
