Windsor Castle is a working royal palace and planned closures/disruptions may be subject to change, from those seen on the product page.
Windsor Castle is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesday, we offer a walking tour instead on those days.
When the State Apartments are closed the Precincts, Queen Mary’s Dolls’ House and the Drawings Gallery remain open.

Due to driver's legal working hours restrictions, this tour will finish within a 2 or 3 minute walk of Gloucester Road Underground Station. This station is in Zone 1 and is three stops Eastbound on the Circle Line or the District Line to Victoria. The Piccadilly Line also runs through Gloucester Road, and is only 5 stops to Piccadilly Circus.
During the winter months an additional five rooms, known collectively as the Semi-State Rooms, are included in the visitor route.
St. George’s Chapel is usually closed to visitors on Sundays as services are held throughout the day. Worshippers are welcome to attend the services.

What To Expect
Windsor Castle
Your coach will leave from the designated meeting point at 8am sharp – make sure you’re there minimum 15 minutes before to check in! The first stop of your adventure will be the world’s oldest and largest occupied castle, Windsor Castle, where you will arrive at approximately 9:30am. With its sweeping landscaped gardens and a striking round tower, it's easy to see why Windsor Castle is King favourite weekend residence. Enjoy wandering through the lavish State Apartments - home to priceless artworks by Rembrandt, Leonardo da Vinci and many more - and visit the beautiful St. George's Chapel, the final resting place of former monarchs including Henry VIII and the wedding venue of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle!
St. George's Chapel
Step inside St George’s Chapel, located on the sprawling grounds, where notorious King Henry VIII and his favourite wife, Jane Seymour, are buried, as are Queen Mary and Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother. St. George's Chapel is one of the finest examples of gothic architecture in England. It has been the setting for many royal weddings and is the burial place of ten sovereigns. The Chapel is dedicated to the patron saint of the Order of the Garter. Britain's highest Order of Chivalry. *St. George’s Chapel is closed to visitors on Sundays as services are held throughout the day. Worshippers are welcome to attend the services. These occur at the following times: 08:30 – Holy Communion 10:45 – Mattins and Sermon 11:45 – Sung Eucharist 17:15 – Evensong

5.00We had a great time on this tour. Each stop was short but just enough to experience all 3 places. Since we had limited time in the UK, this was a great way to see Windsor Castle, Stonehenge, and the Roman Baths in a single day. Our guide, Bruce, was excellent. He was very clear about directions and had good tips to make the most of the time. Our driver, Elvio, made the trip smooth on narrow roads. Highly recommend this tour if you are looking to experience all three places on limited time.

Apparently, it's always closed on wednesdays.So why would you sell me a ticket?And why would I pay a premium to go see something that isn't even open

5.00I used Golden Tours multiple times and each time the guides and drivers were amazing. Bruce and Tim did a great job giving the historic background of various places and buildings. Reg was a very safe driver. I would definitely recommend Golden Tours Hop On/Hop Off. I'd highly recommend the coach tours as well. Just keep in mind that the seats are narrow and there's not a lot of legroom so if you have long legs or you're a bigger person you won't have the most comfortable ride. I was lucky that two people didn't show up so I had two seats to spread my legs: I'm 6' 6". That aside I'd still say it was a great experience. A++
