Excellent chef's dinner Review of Colosseum & Ancient Rome Tour with Roman Forum & Palatine Hill Reviewed 2 weeks ago Three of us Americans used CRAZY4ROME to provide an authentic Roman dinner at the chef’s home in early May. We were in Rome to celebrate our sister’s 80th birthday. She had a short stopover in Rome while on a religious pilgrimage. The logistics and quality of the experience were very important to us. We needed to synchronize the dinner with her schedule, keeping in mind her age. Not to worry: CRAZY4ROME’s representative, Emanuele, took care of all the details. We didn’t have to fuss about anything. One could expect a transactional experience: you pay; you get food. But this occasion became so much more due to Emanuele; the chef, Flavia, and Flavia’s husband, Antonio. Their well appointed home is in an elegant neighborhood of Rome near the Villa Borghese. Flavia presented biscotti prior to sitting at table. Biscotti that my 80 year old sister remembered from her childhood. She was delighted. CRAZY4ROME provides several menu options to choose from. Our dinner was deep fried zucchini flowers stuffed with cheese, Pasta Alla Gricia and Saltimbocca. Followed by sour cherry tart served with sambuca. All were excellent. Flavia and Antonio are gracious hosts. They were as curious about us we were about them. Conversation flowed easily. It was indeed “magical’. And the food! The food was over the top. Date of experience: May 2024
