This was a wonderful day excursion for me and my teenage daughter! Perfect blend of education, activity, and relaxation. Pick-up was right on time at our condo in a comfortable, clean SUV, with a beautiful ride through the tropical forests of central Puerto Rico. Yes, be forewarned - it's a long, winding route with lots of elevation changes - but really, the vistas are unlike anything you'd see otherwise. We made a brief stop at a lovely roadside waterfall before heading to the coffee farm, where we were treated to a small charcuterie board and a delicious cup of coffee upon arrival. The history of the farm - and coffee and coffee-making in general - was fascinating. I teach as part of my job, and was so impressed by the presentation. The other participants (10 of us in total) asked great questions, so it evolved into something more like an intelligent conversation. Afterwards, on the way home, we stopped by a roadside restaurant for a tasty (and incredibly filling) lunch before being dropped back at our doorstep. Finally, I can't say enough good things about our guide, Sebastian. He was warm, knowledgeable, and just lovely to chat with. A good human being. Never rushed us and made sure we were soaking up every moment of our trip. He truly made the day.

I have been on multiple tours with tranki tours. I would highly recommend using them for your Puerto Rico tours. Tristian is an amazing tour guide. Very knowledgeable about Puerto Rico and a fun person to be with. I will definitely be going on more tours with tranki tours and Tristian .the waterfall is very refreshing the coffee tour is awesome. The amount of time and effort that goes into a cup of coffee is a lot. From picking the beans, cleaning, drying and roasting. This tour shows you everything. Again I highly recommend this tour.

Tristan and John were really great hosts/ guides. My wife and I had a great time. It was a long and fulfilling excursion - with several memorable highlights which were encased by ALOT of views, smells, sights, sounds, feelings, thoughts, and emotions. My wife and I wanted to start our vacation with an excursion that helped us embrace Puerto Rico and it's culture and this one did not disappoint! Highlights were: The car ride to the coffee plantation which offered many views, sights, sounds, friendly discussions, information about the island, history lessons, laughter, and suggestions on places to eat/ things to do for the rest of our trip. Along the way we stopped at a cafe/ roadside restaurant for a special bite to eat which was refreshing and just right for the moment and offered plenty of views. Next we stopped at an " off the beaten path " waterfall which was so much better than we could have imagined. Be prepared to get wet!!!! It was great! Next on the trip was ALOT of driving up hills and twists and turns which offered many opportunities to talk and laugh, many many views, and a chance to experience a touch of what mountain life is like in Puerto Rico. Next was the coffee plantation visit where we were met with a touch of serenity and nostalgic feelings - knowing this is a fourth generation farm. We were able to enjoy a small cup of cappuccino and charcuterie board snacks upon arrival. Then we listened to a small presentation of the history of the farm and history of the coffee. We walked the plantation and learned so much about the harvesting process and even ate a couple beans right off the branches - who knew how juicy they were. Then we concluded the plantation portion of our excursion with roasting, grinding, and brewing our own cup of coffee!!! This was so much fun. Finally - to cap off the excursion, we stopped at a really cool rooftop lunch / dinner establishment on our ride home. The food and atmosphere was a perfect way to top off the day. Thank you Tristan and John for a memorable day!!

I was able to book my trip a few days in advance and received a confirmation text right away. Our tour guide was Sebastian. He picked us up at our apartment rental in the Santurce neighborhood and drove us through the southwestern mountainous region of Puerto Rico (if you're prone to motion sickness like I am, I highly recommend taking OTC motion sickness medication prior to the tour as there are several curves and winding roads leading up to the coffee plantation). We stopped by a beautiful cascade in the town of Ciales and then made our way to the coffee farm in Jayuya. We were greeted with DELICIOUS coffee and a small charcuterie board with cured meat, cheese, crackers and quesitos. The owner of the coffee plantation was very welcoming and extremely knowledgeable. We went through an educational presentation, a tour of the coffee farm where we got to pick coffee beans and taste them, checked out the Rio de Jayuya and concluded the plantation tour with us roasting our own coffee beans, sampling the coffee and taking a small bag of the coffee we grinded. After we left the coffee tour, we were treated to a delicious lunch at a local Puerto Rican eatery and were dropped off at our apartment rental. Both Sebastian and the coffee owner were knowledgeable and friendly. It was a very educational experience and as a result, I have a new found appreciation for coffee. Support Puerto Rican businesses and don't forget to tip your tour guide and coffee plantation owner for their awesome service! I highly recommend this tour if you make your way to Puerto Rico!

Don’t let the lack of reviews keep you away from this one! It’s truly a hidden gem and worth it if you’re craving a local, authentic experience (and an exceptional cup of coffee to boot). Also great for nature lovers, or anyone looking for a more zen/peaceful experience. Our amazing tour guide, Sebas, handled pickup smoothly and the drive up the mountains is gorgeous. Just make sure to take Dramamine or something if you get motion/altitude sickness as you will be going far up and through very curvy roads. Sebas made the lengthy ride enjoyable and was very friendly and knowledgeable. He took us to a beautiful hidden waterfall on the way up which was stunning. Then we arrived at the farm where we got to meet the owner of Hacienda Prosperidad and were greeted with a yummy snack board and coffee, and THE VIEW was incredible. We got to learn about the history of coffee in Puerto Rico, and walk through the farm before gaining a hands-on learning experience on the roasting/prep process. To finished off the tour we went for lunch at a local spot with yet another stunning view. Truly, if you’re looking for a zen, peaceful, and visually stunning (as well as delicious) tour, do yourself a favor and book this one asap!

Great experience and a highlight of our trip to Puerto Rico. Sebas is a fantastic local, knowledgeable, and friendly guide. He handled pickup and drop-off, taught us about Puerto Rican culture, answered our questions, and took lots of photos and videos so we could fully enjoy the day. The coffee farm visit was hands-on and authentic. Meeting the family who runs the farm, walking through the fields, learning the full process, roasting our own coffee, and tasting it all in a beautiful setting was informative and professional. We also stopped at a waterfall that was beautiful, off the beaten path, and not crowded at all. Lunch was included at a great local spot we never would have found on our own. Highly recommend for anyone interested in coffee, local culture, and a genuine experience.
