MUST HAVE PREVIOUS SWIMMING AND SNORKELING EXPERIENCE OR WILL NOT BE ABLE TO GET IN THE WATER!!!
MUST BE comfortable in the water, be comfortable using floatation if needed (we have Ride Along option available for non-swimmers)
Must be in good health and fit condition, must be able to climb a short ladder
Due to the nature of this tour and the safety of all guests, the tour operator reserves the right to refuse service to passengers who are intoxicated or show signs of intoxication. If, as a result, your tour is canceled, you will not be entitled to a refund.

5.00The crew was so fun and made the experience unforgettable. They were very knowledgeable about the majestic mantas and delivered an enjoyable mix of information and jokes to keep the activity lighthearted and fun! The water was a little chilly so I would recommend bringing a big beach towel and sweatshirt or long sleeved shirt for afterwards.

5.00Best experience ever!!. The boat captain John and his crew were fantastic - very attentive, funny, and could answer all questions. The boat ride out to the spot was 15-20 minutes. Shorty wetsuits for kids and jackets for adults were provided, along with masks and snorkels. I will say my husband and I had our own shorty wetsuits and our own masks and goggles. We brought anti-fog spray for our masks, which I would recommend because the person across from me was all fogged up about halfway through the experience. When we got out to the spot, the crew assisted people to get into the water. We were provided noodles to help our legs float while we held onto a light up board. The mantas showed up right away! We saw over 15 mantas, both male and female. They came right up to us, doing their backflips to eat plankton inches from our faces - truly a magical experience. We were in the water for about 45 minutes to an hour (honestly I can’t remember because you lose track of time when looking at this super cool creatures!) When we got out of the water there was a hot shower available to warm up. However, coming from a girl who’s always cold, I didn’t even need the shower. The ocean water and air was so warm I could have stayed in for hours. Overall I’d highly recommend this trip to anyone - kids included. Such a great experience!

5.00We took this trip to Hawaii to celebrate our daughter’s graduation—and it turned into one of the most unforgettable experiences we’ve ever had! To make it even more special, my 79-year-old father-in-law was celebrating his birthday with us, which made the whole trip that much more meaningful. The absolute highlight? Night snorkeling with manta rays! Huge shoutout to Capt. Jacob and his crew at Hang Loose for running such an incredible, first-class operation. From start to finish, everything was seamless, safe, and extremely well-organized—you can tell these guys are pros. Capt. Jacob was fantastic—super knowledgeable, patient, and clearly passionate about what he does. He made everyone feel completely comfortable and excited before we even got in the water. And then… the manta rays. WOW. Watching these massive, graceful creatures glide effortlessly beneath us—sometimes just inches away—was absolutely breathtaking. It felt surreal, like we were floating inside a nature documentary. There were moments we just looked at each other in disbelief—it was that incredible. The crew was attentive the entire time, keeping everyone safe while making sure we had plenty of time to soak it all in. Their energy and enthusiasm were contagious—it genuinely felt like they were just as excited as we were. If you’re even thinking about doing a manta ray night snorkel—DO IT. And go with Capt. Jacob. This was hands down one of the highlights of our entire trip and the perfect way to celebrate both a graduation and a 79th birthday. Truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience we’ll be talking about for years!

5.00Most magical experience for myself and my family! The manta rays were inches from me a brushed up against me a few times! The boat crew was great and very helpful and patient with me as I was pretty anxious an my 7 year old daughter was a bit nervous but she did great! Would absolutely do this again! 10/10!

4.00Team was very efficient. Equipment was totally adequate. It was a little bit chilly on the ride out and in the water (April). Saw several manta rays. It was very much worth the cost and trip.
