Join us on a fun and exciting sunset Manta Ray Tour. Voted a top 10 activity to experience in your lifetime.
We will check you in at our in water slip (G-8), Our Crew will brief you on safety in the boat, and in the water with the Manta Rays. then we will enjoy a enjoyable 10-15 minute ride to one of two snorkeling destinations. Once we have arrived you will enter the water and experience 40-45 minutes enjoying the Manta Rays with our experienced swim guides. We have a very nice ladder, and comfortable seats for the ride back to the harbor.
Our Boat Maximum – 10 passengers, 2 crew, has a tour minimum of 4 guests. While this typically does not occur, there are occasions where we have to reschedule and we will work to rebook you during your stay.

With custom-made high-intensity LED light boards, we invite you into the nocturnal playground of these gentle giants. Imagine floating weightlessly as the Manta Rays glide elegantly through the darkness, inches away from your awe-struck gaze. With wingspans of up to 16 feet and weighing up to 1,600 pounds, it’s truly awe-inspiring, but safe as mantas have no teeth, stingers, or barbs. They are filter-feeders and are here strictly to gorge themselves upon microscopic plankton attracted to the lights. Before the adventure begins, you’ll receive a safety and Manta Ray briefing, ensuring you’re prepared for this otherworldly encounter.

5.00Absolutely amazing experience from start to finish. The staff were so lovely, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about what they do, which made the whole day even better. Everything was organised perfectly and ran so smoothly, making it completely stress-free. I felt well looked after the entire time and really appreciated all the little details and effort they put in. It was honestly such a memorable experience, and I’m so glad I chose to book with them. I would 100% recommend to anyone considering it. Truly exceeded my expectations. I wouldn’t have booked with anyone else!

It’s about the incredible crew that made the whole night on November 11, 2025, truly unforgettable. There are so many companies offering manta ray night tours, but I’m so glad we chose Hawaii Marine Life Charters. From start to finish, they made the experience feel personal, safe, and genuinely fun — not just another tour. Captain Mitch was absolutely hilarious — cracking jokes the whole way out while still keeping everything organized and professional. You can tell he loves what he does, and he took the time to answer all our questions about the ocean and the manta rays. Our guide, Moana, was incredibly attentive, making sure everyone felt comfortable in the water. He pointed out where to look, helped us see the mantas up close, and made sure no one missed a thing. He even took videos and airdropped them to us after the tour! On the ride back, he pointed out constellations in the night sky, which made the whole experience feel extra special. After the snorkel, they handed out hot chocolate and snacks — the perfect touch after being in the water at night. The fun boat ride back in the dark, with the warm Hawaiian wind, gave us time to soak in the wonder of what we’d just experienced. If you’re trying to decide between the 50 companies out there — pick this one. 5.00Skye and Mitch made the most of our manta ray experience. They hadn’t seen as many in one locations so they quickly adapted and sent us to another location. My family had a fantastic time. It started raining and they had hot chocolate and tea waiting for us when we got out. We saw tons of manta rays. We love Captain Brian and his team for the small intimate group. We never felt rushed and we knew they could maneuver our board to a different spot if needed. Super personal.

5.00My wife and I had an amazing, bucket list experience Manta Ray night snorkel excursion with Hawaii Marine Life Charters. Captain Brian and guide Riley were excellent, offering a small tour of only 10 people aboard a great 31 ft zodiac. I always seek out small local tour operators, as they are the heart of Hawaii, and Brian is a local Owner-Operated tour guide with deep knowledge and respect of the Hawaiian waters. 5.00wow! what an experience! this is the tour company to chose. The small group size ensured that we had personal attention through the entire experience. From the wetsuits to the hot chocolate as you exit the water every attention to detail is thought out. our in water guide was amazing, taking us all over the bay to get the best viewing! and then right at the end, a manta came up under the board and we were all back on the boat….but the captain said we could all go back in! so we did! and it was amazing! this wouldn’t have been possible with a bigger tour group! so book with Hawaii Marine Life Charters!! You will be so happy you did!

5.00Intimate and safe experience. I enjoyed the boat ride, sunset viewing, and manta ray sightings. Appreciated the clean body suits in wide range of sizes and snorkeling masks. Would recommend this business for anyone apprehensive about the under water activity.
