During the rainy season (June to March ), the water level rises, and locals travel by boat. In the dry season,

Kampong Phluk Floating Village

At Kampong Phluk we hop in a boat and explore, taking in the beautiful waterways and charming houses on stilts. In dry season you'll be able to see the watermarks on the beams showing how high the waters rise, and in wet season you'll see the villagers and fishermen going about their business by boat.

Had previously done this trip myself 2 years ago at the same time of year Bought same trip this week for my daughter and her partner telling them how brilliant it was to spend so much time in village learning about traditions and meeting the people who live there They and myself very disappointed this time Only had half an hour in the village then waited two and half hours in restaurant on river waiting or boat back
