The floating village of Kampong Phluk is located 31 kilometers east of Siem Reap, nestled among lush, often-flooded mangroves. Known for its distinctive stilt houses, this fishing village offers an ever-changing landscape due to Cambodia's wet and dry seasons.
During the rainy season (June to March ), the water level rises, and locals travel by boat. In the dry season,
some walking is required. On this small-group tour, you'll gain an up-close view of the unique lifestyle and culture of this Southeast Asian lake community. Please noted from March to June Dry season

What To Expect
Kampong Phluk Floating Village
At Kampong Phluk we hop in a boat and explore, taking in the beautiful waterways and charming houses on stilts. In dry season you'll be able to see the watermarks on the beams showing how high the waters rise, and in wet season you'll see the villagers and fishermen going about their business by boat.
Tonle Sap Lake
Going out on the Tonle Sap itself is a deeply calming experience thanks to the still waters meeting the horizon as far as you can see. We round off the day with a drink (and dinner, if you wish) at a traditional floating restaurant to watch the sun set over the lake.

5.00We had an amazing time on our tour of the Kampong Phluk stilts home village on the Tonle Sap. We were picked up promptly from our hotel and returned after the tour. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and took time to explain the way of life of the communities living around the Tonie Sap. We thoroughly enjoyed our boat trip on the lake with a stop on a floating restaurant to watch the sunset. We highly recommend this tour.

5.00This was an extremely unique tour, and is highly recommended. Bory (AKA Tom), from a village about two and a half hours away, was our tour guide. He is quite knowledgeable about the local village. It may be helpful to bring hand wipes and sanitizer.
