What To Expect
- At the beginning of the lesson we spend about 10 minutes in the sand showing you how to get up on the board and correcting your posture and feet placement. - When we go into the water I stay close to my students. First pushing you into the waves, correcting your mistakes as the lesson progresses and eventually you will be paddling and catching waves all by yourself. - I want you to feel comfortable and confident, so when you get your first wave you will understand the true feeling of surfing!

5.00We did excursions every day during our 8 days in Manuel Antonio and surf lessons were one of our favorite things to do!! We were so glad we booked this and would highly recommend to anyone wanting to learn how to surf! The instructors are very helpful and took us out 1:1 so we were up on the boards on our first try!

5.00Incredible adventure! First time surfing for myself and my boyfriend. Tony and Luis were extremely helpful and patient while instructing us. It was an absolute blast and I would recommend Tony’s surfing to anyone interested in surfing on a beautiful beach!

5.00Hello Tony & Papa Domingo, thank you very much for all efforts to sweeten our 10 days of life. Even though I did pretty much everything in sports at the age of 63 I would never have believed that I would ride a 'wave', you managed it in one hour. When you visit Manuel Antonio, stop by the two without bedding. 100% service. Food & drinks on the beach, tours surfing lessons all at their finest. Thanks again, for clarifying Pura Vida. 5.00Tony gave us a once in a lifetime experience and everyone should get that in Manuel Antonio. I can’t snowboard or skateboard, but Tony got me feeling like I could actually be a surfer someday. Seriously, I got up my second try and my daughter got up on her first! If you want to feel like a real (novice) surfer, for even a day, trust Tony and his incredible team.

5.00My friend and I took a surf lesson with Tony’s Surf School, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the moment we met Tony, he was incredibly welcoming and passionate about what he does. We happened to meet him on the 10th anniversary of his school, and he was offering free lessons to kids that day, which created a really warm and positive atmosphere. We had never surfed before, but it was much easier than I expected and we had an amazing time. The lesson included one hour with an instructor and one hour practicing on our own, which was perfect for building confidence. Tony took great care of us for the entire day at the beach and made sure we felt comfortable and had a great time. The experience was absolutely worth the $50 USD. I would 100% recommend Tony’s Surf School to anyone who wants to have a great day. It was honestly the best side quest of our trip.

5.00I think it was a very good surfing lesson! I really enjoyed it, although my instructor wasn’t very strong in English, so there were a few misunderstandings. But overall, it was a very good experience!

5.00Tony and his team were AMAZING. My 13 year old, 7 year old, and myself took lessons and everyone was kind and patient. The experience was also very reasonably priced. We can’t wait to come back!
