Galaxy Surf Bali is located at Kuta beach, which is the safest place to learn how to surf. Instructors are experienced and certified surf life saving. For beginner level, non swimmer is allowed to join, your instructor will teach you on the shallow water and you will ride the foam waves. For Intermediate level, we will take you out to the line up, and teach you how to catch the green waves. At each session with us, you will get free photos and videos of you while you riding the waves.

What To Expect

We are offering 2 types of surfing lesson at Galaxy Surf Bali. First is Beginner Surf Lesson, suitable for everyone including non swimmers from age 4 - 60 years old. You will learn about the ocean knowledge, the safety, how to stand up on the board, how to ride the waves, how to paddle and catch the waves. Second is Intermediate Surf Lesson, at this session we will take you out to the line up to catch the green waves. You will learn about the surfing etiquette, paddling technique, how to pass the breaking waves, positioning yourself on the line up, how to ride the waves properly, turning and carving turns. Both sessions last for 90 minutes.

I used galaxy surf after being highly recommended by friends. I had a couple of one on one surf lessons with Sardo from Galaxy. By the end of my holiday I was hiring a surf board of Galaxy and surfing Kuta Beach with confidence. Thankyou Sardo and team! Communication was unreal (Sardo speaks several languages fluently) so instructions were clear, and he is a trained Lifeguard, so anyone using Galaxy can have complete peace of mind.

The best quality surf school in Kuta, despite the modest looks! We stayed with Sardo for a week and learned to surf. They are very professional, emphasize safety, speak very good English and in general just cool guys to surf with! They explain everything to beginners thoroughly, starting from safety. They will do drills with you on the beach for a while to make you memorise the standing up. Then they accompany you to the water and never out step from your side, always helping you dodge the waves and helping you launch so you will catch as many waves as possible. After the 90 min session you can chill, get cold water from them and they will give you tips for next time. This is definitely not the case with all surf shops here. I could not recommend these guys more!!

Coach Sardo is amazing! He teaches surfing at Kuta Beach in Bali, and thanks to him, I managed to stand up on the board the first time I tried. He’s super attentive and makes learning fun and easy. Highly recommend him if you’re looking to surf in Bali!

Had my 12 yr old son have quite few surfs with Sardo from Galaxy Surf Bali. Absolutely loved it and progressed his confidence and ability a lot. Can't speak highly enough of Sardo and the guys. If you are in Kuta and interested in safely trying or progressing your surfing or just want to hire a board, go see them. Honest, genuine and reasonably priced.
