This is a whole day with a lot of activity. The tour covers the plantation and a fun swamp tour with plenty of alligator sightings along with wild pigs and raccoons. Our tour was lead by Kimberly who is an ex-school teacher so she is organized and knowledgeable. It's about an hour out to the plantation and Kimberly fills it with useful information. It is very much worth the trip.

Plenty of time to explore, take the tour, and have lunch! The boat was covered which was nice because it poured! Both the plantation and alligator tour were great!

The plantation tour was very interesting and we enjoyed it. The Live Oaks were stunning. The swamp tour was excellent, and we enjoyed the tour guide, Captain Be Bop. He was very entertaining, knowledgeable, and provided a very interesting tour of the swamp. We would go on a tour with him again!

This tour was well worth the time and money. Seeing the plantation and hearing about its history was an amazing experience. The boat tour in the swamp was very cool. We saw a lot of the wildlife and some alligators up close. One of the highlights was our tour guide Robert who made the most of the time on the bus with awesome New Orleans history. Would highly recommend.

the driver of the bus is also our tour guide. i loved how slowed the bus down so we could take our photos and explained what movie or series each mansion/plantation was featured in. There is quite a bit of walking and sights to see, the house is small and only accessible to the lower level, the upstairs is blocked off. The land has smaller buildings and shacks that were the servants quarters. It's a surreal feeling when you step foot in that place, as if you stepped back in time. Emotions are high and sad when you start reading the boards and listen to the audio that's been provided for the self guided tour. Overall it is a great experience and sneak peak of history in New Orleans. Highly recommended if you're a history buff.

The experience can be divided into two activities: the first was the visit to the plantation. Disappointed compared to other plantations that had retained their old charm, and the visit was truly lacking in interest with a guide who recited her speech without any life. On the other hand, the bayou tour was very intense, with a lot of alligators and other wildlife, and a guide who loved to talk about his site, plus a very pleasant bonus, we were able to converse in French. The bus pickup went smoothly, and thanks to Kimberly, our guide, and Donald, our driver, who provided excellent service.

It seemed like a long day, but he flew by. Our guide Jane talked entertainingly about everything, while Shelly steered the bus comfortably to the destinations. The plantation was impressive and the swamp boat trip great.

This was the best thing we did in New Orleans. Our guide in the bus was great. She gave us lots of information and made travel fun. The. Us was very comfortable and had AC (and a toilet if needed.) we enjoyed the information and beauty of the plantation despite the difficult topic of slavery. Captain Robertson gave us an amazing swamp tour. We saw alligators, boars, raccoons, birds, and a turtle! We got to hold a small alligator. He was daring to feed the wildlife. (Chicken and marshmallows-- should be called swampmallows lol) It was beautiful in the swamp and his music added a nice touch. I highly recommend this tour. Getting both done in a day is wonderful!
